This review is going to seem extremely emotional, but it is one that is well deserved. Not often in life does something as simple as a cup of coffee make such a strong impression, but this is my experience.
Yesterday afternoon as my girlfriend and I were leaving our stay on the island and traveling to the airport we stopped here for a cup of coffee. It was slightly after 2 pm and we were informed that the shop was closed. But then the owner invited us in anyway. She had yet to turn off the machine and had the kindness to make us both a cup of coffee.
It wasn't so much the coffee, which was incredible on its own, but the entire experience that moved me.
My family is from Puerto Rico but it was my first time visiting the island. And something about this beautiful little shop made me feel at home. The warmth and friendliness of the owner was maybe one of the most welcoming experiences I have ever had.
There was something magical about this 10 minute visit. Something that my girlfriend and I couldn't ignore as we drove away. Before we left, we actually gave the owner a hug and I could only describe it afterwards as it felt like family. This place is special. The people are beautiful, warm and comforting. And the coffee was maybe one of the best cups I have ever had.
I am grateful for this pitstop, for the hospitality and graciousness we were shown.
As a chef, I often find myself unmoved by expensive meals. So many experiences that are underwhelming. This experience was one I will remember and cherish for a long time.
I do not know if or when I will return to Puerto Rico, but this will be a definite visit if I do.
Thank you so much for being a wonderful establishment with...
Read moreWhile the culinary offerings boast commendable quality, discrepancies between the prices advertised on Google and those realized at the restaurant are apparent. Our initial expectation of an iced coffee priced at $4.65 was confounded by an unexpected surcharge for whipped cream, a seemingly innocuous addition. This disparity in pricing extends to the limited range of affordable items on the menu, exacerbating the issue.
Regrettably, our experience was further marred by prolonged wait times. Despite understanding the challenges of a bustling establishment, enduring nearly half an hour solely for beverages bordered on the absurd. The delay in serving our party of three was compounded by the expeditious service provided to a group of four who arrived after us, enjoyed their meal, settled their bill, and departed, all before our food arrived. Though our tenure on the island may be fleeting, the imperative to share our experience with a highly-rated establishment...

The rich espresso flavor was a delight to my taste buds, and it was evident that the barista took pride in their work. They even took the time to explain the coffee roasts they use, as the coffee beans are specially sourced for the shop.
I also had the pleasure of trying some of the other meals and breakfast items, and everything was delicious. The seating area was peaceful and had a relaxing island vibe, making it the perfect place to unwind with a cup of coffee and enjoy the breeze. The staff was friendly and attentive, and it was clear that they prioritize customer satisfaction. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area looking for a great brunch spot with good food, a relaxing atmosphere, and...
