Generally, I am a big fan and love scores. It takes a lot to get me to complain but our service last night was beyond horrendous. Brought my mom for her bday dinner because she wanted their wings. After waiting to be seated up front for 5 mins without anyone even greeting us (busy restaurant didnât know if we could just seat ourselves) I asked a server if we could sit at the empty tables in that front room off to the side to which she said we could. After sitting there for 20 mins without being helped (including going to the bar after the first 10 to ask if we needed to order there since no one approached us) a table opened up in the main area so we switched to that table.
Shortly, after switching table a server asked us if we were in the back room. We told her yes but saw the open table and moved because we thought it would be easier. We tried to put in an order with her but she wouldnât take it because the table was someone elseâs. (Iâve been a server for years, take care of the customer thatâs been waiting without help and figure it out with the other servers later). We then waited another 10-15 mins before being approached by our server.
At this point we have been sitting for over 30 mins and donât even have drinks yet. We finally put in our drink order and weee ready to order food. Normally, if a table has been waiting, a server will ask if the table is ready to order. Not this server though. Took our drink orser and quickly walked away before we could say we were ready to order. (we didnât say it right away but thatâs because we expected that she would ask. When we realized she wasnât going to and started to say it within a few seconds she was already walking away.) She brought our drink order but forgot the water, again trying to order she left too quickly again to get the water. She brings the cups and pitcher for water, drops them at the other end of the high top and walks away again, still without taking our order. At this point itâs been almost an hour. I told my family I wanted to leave but my mom really wanted scores wings. (I got her hooked because the food is phenomenal)
After dropping the water she went to a different table. After she left that table I called out âmamâ to get her attn but she was walking to another table so I cut it short but she heard me and looked at me to acknowledge so Iâm thinking she will come back to finally take our order. However she did not.
After helping the table near the kitchen she would es through the double swing doors and we didnât see her again for another 20 mins. At this point, almost an hour and a half after arriving we still have not put in a food order. I finally convince my family that we should go somewhere else and as weâre getting our stuff together and putting our jackets on approaching the bar to pay for our drinks and leave, the server finally comes to take our order. Since she is finally there and my mom really wanted the wings we (really she) decided to stay and order food (her bday, her choice). Food came out timely and was great as always.
We were looking for the server to order more drinks, but yet again she could not be found. When we finally see her again we were done eating but still wanted another round of drinks so we asked for boxes for the food and another round. She brings the round of drinks but forgets the boxes. We remind her and she says she will bring them right out. 20 mins later she finally brings the boxes.
Altogether, because of the long wait before being helped and then the times that our server would disappear, we ended up being there almost 2.5 hours.
No manager ever came and talked to us, nothing was comped (again I didnât ask for a manager or to be comped because I donât like to complain, but as a server I knew it should have happened) and the server never even apologized and almost seemed she was avoiding our table because of being embarrassed about how bad the service was, which ultimately lead to worse service.
Overall, the experience was horrible and I was really disappointed because normally...
Read moreWe had a big group and it was an experience I donât want to experience again. Manager was snotty with a huge attitude. We ordered a lot of food that came out randomly. We paid $180 for a taco bar and the toppings came out after a complaint and after everyone already ate. We had to use the taco dip for toppings. I addressed it to the girl brining food out and she said she wasnât aware of that. I had to ask for forks, ask for the salsa, waitress didnât come much. People had to go up to the bar for drinks. Then we were told by the snotty Lauren that yes the waitress came a lot and we shouldnât have been going to the bar. I had to ask for tops to bring home all the food they brought out after the fact. We would appreciate a call from the owner Rick or rich rather than the manager that was here this evening. $550 bill is crazy for what we experienced. I didnât even ask for a discount when I was addressing our concerns and she said if youâre looking for a discount you arenât getting one. I also told her we were suppose to have 2 trays of chips and she said well it looks like you have plenty. If it came with what we ordered we should have gotten it. Then they overcharged 2 items from the original email pricing we recieved when booking and placing order, for them to tell us prices have changed since then. Just a very horrible experience. Donât recommend big group gatherings here or to go there with Lauren working. Walking around flirting all night and rude as heck to customers...
Read moreI'm from out of state and was visiting friends and family here, so I decided to stop in this bar for the very first time last Saturday afternoon for a drink. Here is a transcript of the actual conversation I had with the bartender:
Me: âCould I have a gin martini? Her: âWe donât do gin martinis.â Me: âHow about a scotch and soda?â Her: âOkay.â She then went away and returned about a minute later and said: âWe donât do scotch and sodas either. We only serve sports bar-type drinks.â [This would have been the perfect time for her to offer me a menu, so that I could see what mixed drinks were available, if any. But I must say that in my long life I've never visited a bar - even a "sports bar" - where the bartender wouldn't - or couldn't - prepare either of these very basic mixed drinks.] Me: âDo you have vodka?â Her: âWhat?â Me: âVod-Ka.â Her: âOf course we have vodka.â [Of course I should have known that, in spite of the fact that she apparently didnât have, or couldnât work with, both of the previous common liquors I had asked for.] Me: âCan you do a vodka martini?â Her: âI told you, we donât do martinis.â Me: âThen Iâll be moving on.â Her: âYeah.â [Affirming that it's best that somebody like me shouldn't visit this bar.]
Even bartenders at sports bars should be able to do more than just operate beer and ale spigots. And this particular bartender could have used some training in basic interpersonal skills as...
