La Cabra Brewing Smokehouse — Restaurant in Radnor Township

I've visited the brewpub in Berwyn before, but this was my first time visiting their smokehouse and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, at lunch and for leftovers. I ordered the wood-fired whole wings with pit sauce and pulled pork Mac and cheese, which came with a Carolina bbq sauce.

The wings were meaty and cooked perfectly, with the tangy pit sauce and seemingly homemade ranch providing just the right flavor to compliment the wing.

As for the pulled pork Mac & cheese, usually when I see it on a restaurant's menu it feels gimmicky and uninspired, but I had a feeling La Cabra would be different... and it was indescribably good. As was the case with the wings, the story here is how the cheesy pasta, tender pulled pork, and mustardy Carolina bbq sauce (I'm not a fan of mustard-based bbq sauces, but La Cabra has shown me the light) came together to create a truly inspired dish that I had to restrain myself from finishing before I needed a nap.

There's a bunch of other things on the menu I can't wait to try, like the gigantic hot chicken sandwich my buddy was eating next to me, so I'll definitely be back...

It was an incredible experience from start to finish! The food was absolutely phenomenal—each bite was packed with bold, smoky flavors that showcased the chef’s mastery of BBQ. The brisket was tender and juicy, Buffalo chicken dip had and amazing smoke flavor and the sides especially the Mac n cheese and baked beans so flavorful. The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure every guest had a great experience. My order came out quickly and exactly as I requested, even during a busy time. The atmosphere added to the charm of the place. With its rustic yet modern decor, the restaurant felt cozy and welcoming. The smell of smoked meats wafting through the air instantly got my appetite going, and the music selection created the perfect laid-back vibe. 530 Sunday night. It was crowded. Very loud. Beers list on the monitor above the bar - hope you sit near it. The QR code on the menu does not work. It took 50 mins for pulled pork sandwiches, not for the whole table only 3, the rest of the sandwiches were 10 mins later. My husband’s sandwich was cold. There was so much fat on my brisket, no one bothered to look at what they put on the plate. Which is sad considering all you get is brisket, no sides. We order the burnt ends (fatty). The corn bread is good. The coleslaw is tasteless. I did not like the collard greens, they were a sad green mess. Even the homemade chips needed salt. The bar back was dirty. The windows were very dirty. At 5:30, they had already run out of ribs, airplane chicken and porter beer. I think this place will not last due to the poor wait service and lack of attention from the kitchen.
