Short story long. I met my great grandson a month ago and have been searching for a specific musical plush dog (Cuddle Barn My Puppy Ollie) because I have given him as gifts at Baby Showers. Others may not appreciate musical plush toys, but this 72 yr. old great grandma HAS ALWAYS LUVED (yes, LUVED, not loved) them. I have a collection of them, and it drives my family a tad bit crazy. Anyhow, when I searched for this toy, he was out of stock everywhere but Lucky Duck Toys. I read all the reviews, and everyone has so much fun shopping there, especially children. They also could not say enough about the Staff and Matthew, the Store Manager. I can see why after looking at all the attached photos (reminiscence of times gone/going by). There is nothing like local family operated stores where they really know their customers, their products and make shopping fun. I ordered Ollie on their website and when he arrived, you could tell at once that he was a little “Under the Weather.” My Puppy talked and sang his heart out, but he wanted you to know, he is Marvin the Monkey. I called the store and Matthew came on the phone, and when I explained how “Under the Weather” Ollie was, he immediately looked at Ollie’s Brothers and reassured me that their “Check-up” showed they were in Good Health. Matthew promised me that one of Ollie’s brothers was on his way and not to send my Ollie back (my new Ollie arrived yesterday 8/16). I sent a video of my Ollie to let Matthew know that he really was “Under the Weather” but happy, just not feeling like being a Puppy. I believe The Universe knew that Matthew and I both needed BIG Pick Me Off of the Floor Belly Laughs – “To Infinity and Beyond.” So glad to find You Guys. I will be shopping there, especially during Christmas - but hope it will be in-person (I actually live in Tulsa, OK). Your Toy Store is a Gem. Thank You All from the Bottom of this Kid’s Heart -...
Read moreI was just in this store. The price tag on the item was 22.99, but the item rang up for 29.99. I realized this after I purchased this item and left the store when I was reviewing the receipt because the total seemed off. When I went back in and addressed this with the cashier who went and checked with someone in the back whom I assume was a manager of sorts, I was told that the prices were put on earlier today and that the employee must have marked it wrong so they would not honor the price tag. I am so confused and shocked. I cannot believe a company would pass along their admitted error to the consumer? Not to mention, a violation of the weights and measurements regulations in PA.. I will never shop here again.
UPDATE: Please note, response from owner would lead you to believe I was informed of the pricing mistake BEFORE purchasing the item, this is not the case. It was only after I left the store and reviewed my receipt. I still am in shock that a business owner can justify passing along their mistake to a consumer while also throwing their new employee under the bus for 7.00, really? And again, not to mention the regulation violations associated with not honoring their marked price which clearly warrants a...
Read moreI am heartbroken to say this. It is a wonderful store. Very well thought out layout. And I am certainly in the camp of supporting small business. But not if you can get the same item at a larger retail store for less than half the price of the item I purchased at Lucky Duck. I understand customer service and free wrapping but my goodness. Forgive me but I had to post this because I'm really surprised at the mark up. I purchased the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Game and Learn Controller for $15.99 plus tax. Sadly, when I returned home, I went online because I was trying to see if there was a turn off switch on the toy since it began to play as I was trying to wrap it. Lo and behold, Target in Wynnewood, PA appears with an in store pick up price of...
