My coworker and I had an earlier than usual lunch break today. She decided to treat us to Hardee’s for breakfast. Upon entering the establishment the exterior and interior was very clean and there were not a lot of people present inside or in the drive thru which was great so we figured it would mean hot, fresh and fast service. The cashier greeted us upon entry in which she and I ordered our items. I requested a bacon platter with no eggs and a medium sprite. She ordered a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit meal with a sweet tea along with two cinnamon rolls. It was approximately 10:37 when the order was placed. Our drinks were made shortly after and placed onto the counter top. The cashier proceeded back to the register to assist two other customer who had since arrived. Nearly 9 minutes passed and she questioned how much longer before the order would be ready. The cashier checked the receipt/bag and told the people working in the back what was missing...the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and one cinnamon roll. At the time the bacon platter was prepared and sitting in the plastic bag. Another 7 minutes passed and the order was not completed. She asked again what was taking so long as well as another male customer who ordered shortly after us. The cashier once again informed the people in the back what she needed. I waited inside another 4 minutes then walked around outside. When my coworker came to the vehicle with our food it was 10:53 am and we had spent majority of our break waiting on the food. What was unbelievable was the store was fully staffed and there were not a lot of customers present but nothing was going as smoothly as it could have been. I was highly disappointed when I opened my platter my two slices of bacon were rubbery and there was a folded up piece maybe 1 inch long of egg sitting directly underneath my biscuit. Luckily I seen it before I poured my gravy onto it. I don’t eat eggs and I specifically ordered my platter without it. The hash browns were cold and greasy as well. The cinnamon roll was warm to the touch and iced perfectly unfortunately it was inedible because the outside layer was harder than a brick. It broke my fork. I typically have a great experience eating here during lunch time but today was a definite reason to...
Read moreIronically, I had just read an online news article about companies from manufacturing to fast food that have been refusing positions to Gen-Z candidates. The article showcased several employers who were being questioned about terminating employment for their Gen-Z employees. Being a father of two teenagers, my first thought, "This is wrong!" The teenage workforce has always been a main function in the American workforce. However, after visiting the Hardee's in Raeford, NC, I have to reconsider my opinion. The restaurant hosts a staff comprising of all Gen-Z employees, including management. Upon entering, I noticed the dining area was visibly filthy. Trash was left on tables, food on the floor, along with a sent that I can only describe as dirty mop water. As I approached the counter to render my order, there was no greeting. No one even acknowledged that I, along with another awaiting customer, was there at all. I'm not saying that we weren't seen by the four employees pacing behind the counter. It was obvious that we were standing there. But, no greeting, no "hello" not even an "I'll be right with you. " It seemed that we(customers) were not a priority at all. The young employees simply continued their conversations about their favorite rapper and "who blows the best "Za". After being completely ignored for 10-12 minutes, I decided it would be best to take my potential purchase to another restaurant, which would prioritize customer service over nonsense conversations. (Zero stars...
Read moreThere is a reason this place is rated 93.5. See pic. Hesitant to try, there was no other cars in the parking lot, so either everyone is at work or this location is missing something, I went to the restroom first. See my mushroom burger ... after eating almost the entire burger I noticed only 1 piece of swiss. I asked a young lady working there how many slices are supposed to be on the swiss burger. She replied 2. Asked for the manager which is the gentleman who took my order. Informed him my burger only had 1 slice of cheese and since the burger has been 98% eaten could I get a coupon for a next visit. He replied he could remake the burger... he has to ask his GM about my request. After returning from the back he said he could only remake the sandwich. Reluctantly I agreed. After a few minutes of waiting, it had been prepared by two gentlemen nesr the grill area that I could not view. Checked the sandwich at the counter for all to see the second slice of swiss. Will visit another location or other food establishment. Unsure why the GM stayed in...
