Truly 10/10 experience. Iāve been waiting so long for a vegan restaurant like this. This place is going to blow up! So good that I came twice in a row, first for a casual lunch and next for a date night. My non-vegan partner loved it too. Both experiences amazing and we tried so many different items. Itās hard as it is to find a vegan spot in the area, but to find one this good? I donāt know where to start.
The space is designed beautifully - clean, modern, very aesthetic decor. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and you can feel comfortable dressing up or down. We brought a bottle of wine (itās BYOB and there is a liquor store right across the street) and we received amazing service from the attentive staff.
Now the food! I love the variety that the menu offers. First we tried the crispy shroom bites - amazing and filling. Reminiscent of crispy calamari and the dipping sauces were to die for. Next I tried the Not a Chicken Sandwich which comes with fries, delicious and perfect amount of āchicken,ā bread, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and amazing sauce! Next, the Chicken and Waffle Sandwich. My friend had this plate and loved the sweet maple and waffles with the hearty fried chicken and cole slaw that balanced out the sandwich. He also had the Khao Soi which I got a taste of and my friend was obsessed with this dish. Yes, we ate a lot. The next day for date night, we had the Sheet Pan Nachos as an appetizer. Yum! Loved the queso sauce and variety of ingredients. For our entrees we both tried the āNduja Linguine and this was mouth watering. Unique flavors, Iāve never had pasta dish like this but Iāll definitely be getting it again. Definitely spicy but SO good. Some people canāt handle spicy, so donāt try this if you canāt but for someone who loves spice, itās perfect. Couldnāt get enough of it and we both wiped our plates clean.
I loved every single item. Everything about this place is high quality even down to the website and rewards program they already have in place. Iām just blown away and canāt wait...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI drive by Cultivate every so often and always say I want to try it so last weekend we did! The interior is a sleek mid century modern/Scandinavian design that is spacious and inviting. They do have high chairs and the tables are nicely spaced out so youāre not hitting anyone when walking through. You order either through the QR code on the table or they do offer paper menus that you can then go up and place your order. Either option is pretty simple. The food was amazing! The Buffalo Mushroom is a must! It comes with the buffalo sauce and a ranch drizzle on top which is really the best way to do it. We loved it and the baby liked it too. It was a little spicy for him but he kept asking for more so he couldnāt resist. We couldāve ordered another one, it was so good. For our dinners we went with the Wild Mushroom Linguine which was filled with delicious mushrooms in a light cream sauce. The mini gnocchi which came in a red sauce and had dollops of cheese. And we ordered the gochujang asparagus. Everything was excellent and we cleaned all the plates. The baby enjoyed everything but did favor the gnocchi over the mushrooms. He also really liked the asparagus which surprised us since he doesnāt always like asparagus but he seemed to love this one. Normally we donāt order dessert but they have walnut chocolate chip cookies on the menu that are made to order and I couldnāt resist. While we waited for them to come out the baby got to stretch his legs and walk around and check himself out in the mirror without bothering anyone else that was eating. They cookies were definitely worth the wait! They were warm and gooey but had a great crunch from the walnut. Overall, we all had a great dining experience and will be back! I encourage you try everything for yourself, you wonāt regret it! Oh and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHigh price and small portions. To the budget conscious: There was a review here that said the amount of food you get is very small in proportion to price. This is true. While the food was good, 16 dollars for a burger the size of a Big Mac and medium sized fries is extremely overpriced.
I also got the Spicy Not Chicken Sandwich. Same issue. A sandwich the size of a Wendy's Spicy chicken and medium fries for 15 dollars. I could maybe understand if this was San Francisco or New York City, but this is Rahway, NJ, a working class town. 30 dollars of Chinese food will last me 4-5 days.
To the health conscious: Impossible patties are not really that healthy. The patties are made from soy protein concentrate which is GMO itself and contains sunflower oil and coconut oil. There isn't anything that is truly organic and NON-GMO anymore, because all the seeds used in today's agriculture industry comes from Monsanto and everything Monsanto creates is genetically modified.
IIMPOSSIBLE PATTY INGREDIENTS: The Impossible Burger is made from soy protein concentrate, coconut oil, sunflower oil, potato protein, methylcellulose, yeast extract, salt, gums, and water and additives, including vitamin B12, zinc, vitamin B6, thiamin (B1) and niacin. The ingredient that gives an Impossible Burger the taste of meat is heme.
TINDLE CHICKEN PATTY INGREDIENTS are also GMO and not that healthy: Wheat Flour, Modified Starches, Wheat Starch, Maize Flour, Breadcrumb (wheat flour, salt, yeast), Tapioca Starch, Salt, Spices (black pepper, garlic, onion), Dextrose, Sunflower Oil, Flavourings, Raising Agents (E450, E500), Gelling Agent (methylcellulose). THIS PRODUCT CONTAINS SOY AND GLUTEN.
