Wholesome Goodness-Whenever you get a craving for home
If I could give it 9 stars I would. I made a trip to Patel Brothers in Edison and happened upon these rotis in the dairy aisle. I checked the ingredients and they had only three: Whole Wheat flour, Water and Corn oil. I took them home with my assortment of Indian groceries and I ate them. They were so good I went to the factory (which is open 9 to 9) and got them fresh out the oven. I usually buy one small family pack, one large family pack, and I like the savory taste of the round coriander parathas. I eat them all like an Indian sandwich or fajita, but they go great with dal or your favorite curry. The coriander parathas are so good when I get a craving for samosas I just get fries take out and I just wrap them in a paratha and douse them with tamarind sauce (Indian catchup). So, I enjoy the savoriness of the paratha combined with the starchiness of the fries and the irresistible sweet and sour tamarind.
I store half off these in the freezer and half in the fridge so I just take them out when I need them. The factory rotis last 3 weeks in the fridge and the ones available elsewhere varies depending on the freshness date. To store in the freezer, I take the rotis and place them in a freezer bag and put a napkin between them. This way I get easy access when I need them. The small ones go so fast that I just leave them in the fridge.
For those that like rice flour, Shri also makes Dosa/Idili Flour thatās also available in the dairy case. You just need to fry them on the griddle or steam them. I just eat these with a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt's a direct outlet from Shree, has all varieties of Rotis, naan and you even get dosa/idli batter. The different between getting here and from retail shop is that things are more fresh in direct outlet where as there could be stock pile up in stores (at least that is what everyone says), so why take the chance is you have an option to buy from the outlet directly. My friend is a regular buyer and he assures that his family is not bored with Sree's options and taste ... I tried few times and would say that it will be an option for days when you are too tired and so not want to shell out huge sum...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreShri roti is now really got worst then ever. Now they have very good excuse to become greedy. Price went up due to inflation and I am sure they didn't even count their labor ,material and other costs. Yeah right. You were not able to raise price during covid peak time due to state order but now like everybody else you are. Roti's size is now really laughable like it was made for children. Price? Price for 25 rotis jumped to 7.99...for what and how? Your rotis doesn't deserve that price you are charging now. Not going to...
