Update 9/23/25: I received a very nice and friendly call from the proprietor of the establishment after they realized that we did not receive satisfactory service after our order was not received as requested. He was extremely nice, friendly and accommodating, and willing to do whatever he could to make me happy because as he stated, he didn’t want to leave any customers unhappy. He offered and gave us a full refund for the order, which was really helpful, considering only one of us ate our food. I am really happy for this outcome as I do enjoy their food And I look forward to going back to them in the future.
9/22/25 Ordered through GrubHub and it’s required to “add a side” to order a sandwich there, So I ordered the “house salad” as the side, but added special instructions that we only wanted the 4 other ingredients chosen, on the sandwich. I also ordered 2 other sandwiches as well. The special instructions for my sandwich were fine, but my daughter’s didn’t show up on the receipt for whatever reason. Anyway, for my daughter we ordered gyro meat, tzatziki sauce, feta crumbles, & romaine lettuce, plus we were forced to choose a “side” in order to proceed, so I chose the house salad. What we got: gyro meat, feta crumbles & house salad. There was no extra romaine, only that which was clearly included in the house salad and unfortunately, my daughter cannot eat tomatoes or cucumbers, which was what this sandwich was mostly comprised of. We tried calling to see if we could get this rectified, but whoever answered the phone wouldn’t listen and basically said we are stuck with what we’ve got, which she can’t eat. So now I’m out $11+ and my daughter is upset AND hungry! I’m not saying that the customer is always right, but freakin listen before jumping to conclusions and simply assuming this is all “our” fault and your restaurant doesn’t have any responsibility. Now I’m aggravated and lost my appetite, so that’s another $12+ down the drain. Never again. I’m just not willing to spend my money at a restaurant or any establishment that doesn’t give me their ear, and at least attempt to hear me out. See photos below: where’s the romaine lettuce???
As a sidenote, I did order a pita for my daughter and flatbreads for my husband and I, but we all received pitas, and I tried to explain That, but received argument back as well.
The first three photos are of my daughter’s sandwich with the house salad and the last two photos are of my sandwich that was supposed to be flatbread, but is...
Read moreMy friend and I drove 30 minutes to Moaaz because the reviews for this place looked good. However our experience was very underwhelming. We got 2 platters and a flatbread wrap. My platter I had lamb kofta and beef strips. My friends had chicken shawarma and lamb kofta. It seems that the staff is not properly trained on safe food preparation. The lamb kofta was under-done & the beef strips were completely raw. I asked the employees to regroup-grill the beef strips to make it well done, but even after doing so, the beef was raw. This is a health concern. The portions of protein are also not commensurate to the rice and salad. 80% of the platter was rice and 20% was salad and protein. Maybe my experience does not align with others’ because the reviews I see are great- but I definitely won’t be coming back here. It’s a bit odd, because the lamb kofta and beef strips seem to be the “speciality” of this place.
Normally I don’t care about the cost of eating out but we spent $75. Comparable spots that sell the same food for 2 people within the area would cost nearly half of this. At the end of the day it’s just a platter and not some gourmet dining experience.
Positive takeaways: Staff were very friendly and very welcoming. The space is pretty decently sized and has lots of seating. Restaurant is clean and organized. There’s plenty of...
Read moreI have been going back to this place and trying different things from their menu. To start off, the location is good. It is visible from a moving car and it has free parking. They have dining tables and high chairs options. You walk in to order and they have both recommended items menu, and you can also customize your own ( like Chipotle or Moe's). You can choose between platter or a wrap, then choose your protein, carbs, salads, and sauce. They have lots of options with each category. For example, the protein you can choose between lamb, chicken, beef, falafel or shrimp. If you are getting a platter, they have brown rice and yellow rice and so on. The falafel wrap is very good. They have delicious dessert options but my favorite is their in house pistachios baklava. They offer soft drinks and sides. I tried dining in, delivery and pickup. All previous options were just fine. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food and the excellent service. Saeed is usually there and other staff rotate around the clock. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be going back to try more items...
