Spanish Restaurant 3 — Restaurant in Rahway

OK this is the second time I buy from this joint. The first time I bought the pig feet. They were horrible and no taste. I decided to give it a second chance and bought the tripe soup; many cultures eat tripe one way or the other. THESE PEOPLE CANNOT COOK TRIPE! My Mondongo had a watery consistency and only had potatoes and carrots. Mondongo is made with a combination of root vegetables. I know been cooking all my life. The fun part of mondongo is to cook it with a variety of root vegetables and VERY WELL CLEAN AND COOK TRIPE! The tripe was as hard as a rock. The dish had a watery consistency. It's suppose to thicker consistency. Now, I know you don't want it to dry up. So, therefore you cook it at a different consistency so it could last longer at the steam table but some customers demand authenticity and you don't deliver. Make the adjustments and maybe I'll give your "FAST FOOD" RESTAURANT A CHANCE. It proves we live in a world where people live busy lives and don't care...

Great tasting food, clean establishment which is very important to me, very friendly staff... What more can you ask for... I personally haven't had Spanish food in maybe 13 year's cause they're were not decent & clean Spanish restaurants in my area anymore at the time. Both in Newark, NJ. Just wasn't good anymore... (Sanitation Wise) Not gonna mention the names of the restaurants... Then I rode thru St, George's Ave & seen this spot.. Took the number down & checked the reviews & decided to stop in. Boy oh boy I was not disappointed that I had... Definitely coming back as I miss my Spanish dishes for a very long time... One thing is Parking is a little difficult to find, but that's a small task to a great meal... Peace & love to the staff of Spanish...

Horrible customer service but when i said HORRIBLE!!!!!! Our first time here my husband and I believe on always supporting local businesses but here FIRST AND LAST The person at the checkout was EXTREMELY RUDE/NASTY !!!!!! Made nasty comments when we asked for a typical Dominican soda and every answer out of her mouth was condescending She made sure to let me know that she was NOT DOMINICAN!!!!! That only the owner was. To the owner….. do better when choosing employees because when they talk they are representing YOU I AM GIVING ONE BECAUSE THEY DONT...
