today was my 2nd time placing a to-go order through the HBH website. I got my confirmation email at 12:54PM, pick-up time was 1:15PM. I get to HBH at 1:15. The girl working tells me, “we just now saw your order but we will have it ready ASAP”. I have worked at several places that do to-go orders so I totally understand, no biggie. I have no problem waiting another 5-8 mins. But a group of people come in after this and they start working on THOSE people’s food before even thinking about mine, whenever I should have already received mine and been gone. After waiting until 1:34PM, I approach the counter asking how much longer it would be because I had to get back to work. The person making the food goes “here it is, it’s done”. And I’m like ??? Good product but poor management / customer service. Went to buy a mini ham this morning and they were out. Only 3 hams to pick from in the entire store. If your main product is ham, then you should stock it. I pointed out the young man that the smallest they had was 50% larger than I wanted, I asked if he could apply a coupon against it. I was told no, they don't do that. His whole attitude was take it or leave it. I would guess that they have a fairly narrow client base willing to spend $70 on a ham - not at a holiday. I had never heard of this place before, but my boss got me a gift card for Christmas. Me and my wife gave it a shot, and were very pleasantly surprised. I can’t speak for the catering, but their lunch menu items are great, and the portions you get for the price are really good as well.
