So I’m not an avid fast food eater but tonight I decided to cheat and entertain my taste buds with a delicious whopper. However, once arriving to this location I realized that it looked a little dim. I soon realized that the lights in the parking lot weren’t on. Strange but that whopper was calling my name so I pulled on around to the drive thru. It was one car ahead of me and that’s the only reason I knew it was open because the menu board wasn’t lit either. Couldn’t see a thing but luckily I knew I wanted that juicy flamed grilled goodness between that sesame seed bun. I pull around and I see they pulled the car in front of me ahead. As a former GM of a Zaxbys I know what that means. Then I come up and pay for my food. 1 guess what happens next. You got it, I get pulled too. I came kind of late (1115 pm) so I understand frustration but as a small business owner in the community I know how to make a customer feel like we want there business even if I’m not feeling it. The service was terrible. Smart remarks. Eyes rolling the whole 9.
Because food always makes me happy I waiting but out of curiosity I wanted to see if anyone else would get pulled. And low and behold the car behind me did as well. That lets me know they probably had everything off or had taken everything off the line to be washed. Or both. But I waited....and waited...and waited. 16 mins to get 1 whopper meal. No special requests and it’s literally the most popular menu item I assume. This really hurt my soul because there is a McDonalds across the street that I don’t like as much but will have to visit from now on. My food was fine except for the fact they never gave me a drink with my meal. It was a bottle of water. If whoppers were a penny Id say its not worth it at this restaurant. You’d waste more money in gas waiting for your food with...
Read moreI went in and ordered food here and my asking for hot nuggets and fries right off the fryer seemed to be a huge problem. I asked the manager if it would be okay to special order my fries and nuggets that way before I placed my order and she said it was okay. Then she made a face to the cook after taking my money when she asked her to drop some hot fries and nuggets for me. She was sarcastic in her explanation to her about why I didn’t want the food that was already sitting out. I explained to the other worker there at the register that if it was a problem that it would be okay. I would just leave but she insisted that everything was okay. However, something disturbing happened while this worker was waiting for my food to be ready to hand to me. She was dabbing at her nose with the back of her hand, then she scratched her head and the side of her face before getting my food and handing it to me. This was very nasty and I didn’t bring it to the manager’s attention since she had been sarcastic to the cook about my order. The scratching of the head and the rubbing of the nose seems to be a frequent problem that they have at a few other Burger King locations in Raleigh also. Overall, the food was good but the handling of the food and the attitudes are not worth paying workers $15 or more to present that type of service to paying customers. Burger King needs to hire new managers and new workers that want to function in those positions, and give good customer service for...
Read moreFood: Been to a lot of burger kings, this one is about average and sometimes above average with food quality. Their order accuracy is fairly on point, unlike many other burger kings. Only once or twice have they forgotten whole items/meals, and only 5 times or so have they messed up on an item detail, like a plain burger having all toppings. That's out of like 30+ visits though, something to keep in mind.
Service: They have high turnover, I rarely see the same people working the same shift a month from the last visit, or further into the future. They do still do what they can, despite the lacking business they get, getting noticeably less people than most burger kings. I don't believe that reflects their service and quality, it's more about their location being hard to see/park into, it's a busy road and they never have a near full parking lot, or long drive thru line.
Atmosphere: It's a bit run down, sort of clean but also not very well taken care of, the bare minimum basically. It's a bit depressing with how empty it is inside, only a handful of people at lunch most times, most do drive thru.
Conclusion: If you enjoy burger king, much like how any mcdonalds nearly 100% tastes the same any where in the U.S, this is an average burger king that'll get your order write, and have fresh food since they make it to order, not much...
