As a New Yorker, I am always intrigued at restaurants using the NY in their name, and this place even uses Brooklyn in its name too. Walking into this place, I see quite a few NY & Brooklyn items but that doesn't mean the food is as good as NY, or does it? I am skeptical, but their garlic knots are the very best that I have eaten in a very long time, you owe it to yourself to try it...the garlic knot was so soft, fresh and the garlic taste is just escaping my words. The cheese pizza pie had so much cheese on it that for sure, it is more like NY than any pizza I have tried outside of NY. My only regret was to not ask for extra krispy bottom but since I couldn't finish the entire pie, I will reheat on a nice & hot cast iron pan to get the pizza krispy. If you are a regular customer here, I am sure you know how good the pizza is by now...this place is "legit".

Came here based on proximity to my hotel. I always like to try New York style pizza when I travel. Decent slice and prompt/fast service. Great value for the meal. $7.99 for 2 slices of pepperoni with a drink. The slice could have had just a little more tang in my opinion. Nice grease from the pepperoni. Overall, good pizza that filled me up. Also, learned about Cheerwine since it was in the spot usually reserved for Dr. Pepper where im from. Pretty interesting soda. Got the garlic knots as well. They were not as garlicky and flavorful as they looked. The marinara served with them was a little bland too. If that was the same sauce on the pizza, that could explain the lack of tang from the slices. Would try again, but after I tried other spots in the area. The atmosphere wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. Fine for a place in a strip mall.

I could barely finish a slice. So disappointed 😞 with this place. Don't waste your money on this pizza with so many alternatives near by. First of all, there is absolutely nothing New York or Brooklyn about this joint except for a few pictures of the city on the walls that look like they were picked up at a garage sale to give off appearances. The place is lackluster, not even the staff providing service even attempts to make the place feel authentic. The slice itself was overly greasy, so much cheap processed cheese on it that you have to eat it with a fork and knife because it won't hold up like a traditional slice... I gave up after a few bites and just threw over half the slice away. So greasy that it soaked right thru the paper plate onto the table! Look elsewhere for 🍕

I can honestly say that I hate to make I am making this review because My family and I have been ordering from this place for a long time. My family and I are all from NY and have had a hard time since moving here to Raleigh NC to find a spot that gives the authentic NY pizza and Calzones. We love this place but it changed tonight. We made a grub hub order for wings, onion rings, chef salad and calzone and I always order extra side of ricotta cheese and I pay for it by adding a 2 liter of soda. Well tonight was not pleasant at all.our delivery arrived and everything looked good but we were missing the chef salad. I called Brooklynn slice and let them know and the original person put me on hold and then came back and said “sorry we will get another salad to you” and Would arrive in about 20 minutes. . That’s was cool and great but then an out 5 minutes later they call and say that they weren’t in the wrong and that the driver was given it all. I then asked to place the order personally (which they do) and I’ll pay for it with problem. He took the order and then took my card number for payment. I then asked for the owner to manager to get in touch with me because I would like to see the cameras that the driver took the full order. The guy told me owner is not on duty so I asked for him to time him my information and gave him call me and he said ok. I then asked after noticing they didn’t charge my card for the new order to do so and that’s when it’s went left. I was put on hold and then hung up on 3 times. I then called and spoke to Giovani witch says he’s the owner and told me that it will ow be almost 2 hours for my delivery and then had the nerve to tell me “your acting like you bought a car bro it’s just a salad” .

These people are acting like I’m asking for something for free, I’m willing to pay for it but at the same time we need to see who was at wrong. It’s not fare to a grub hub driver to be penalized over a restaurant lying.

I’m from NY and I learned how to change my ways, these guys have no respect and living here and running the business like they’re still NY.

They lost a repeat customer and I will be sure to spread this to everyone.

All calls were recorded as...

I visited this restaurant today with the intention of ordering an Italian salad. I kindly informed the staff member at the counter that I don’t eat pork due to my beliefs and asked if the salad could be made without it. I also asked if the salad was premade, and he said it was not but repeatedly insisted that it “comes with pork.” I explained that I’ve ordered Italian salads at other places before, and they were always able to make the same salad without pork upon request.

The staff member walked away several times during the conversation and eventually brought out the chef. I explained the same thing to the chef, who then told me they had halal meat. Because his Spanish accent was strong, I repeated my question to make sure I understood him correctly “I stated so you have kosher/non-pork options.” He replied, “Yes, but if you don’t trust me, you can go somewhere else.” At that point, I chose to leave, avoiding confrontation.

I had traveled 14 minutes to this location after researching this restaurant online because I wanted to enjoy a healthy meal on my birthday, but nothing to fancy. Unfortunately, the way I was treated left me disappointed. As someone who work in professional settings, I understand that tone and approach matter just as much as the words used. I found the service to be dismissive and unprofessional simply because I requested a non-pork option. I would never speak to a customer the way I was spoken to, and I hope this feedback encourages a better experience for...

Overall Score: 4.1/10 – A busy local pizza spot offering decent food and a straightforward dining setup, but major concerns with food handling hygiene impacted the overall experience.

Atmosphere and Service: 5.4/10 – The restaurant has a small, functional space that offers enough seating for a casual meal. It was busy during the visit, and the online ordering process was smooth with text and email confirmations. However, a serious issue was observed when a staff member handled food with gloves after touching the register and other surfaces, without washing hands. This unhygienic practice was off-putting and concerning.

Cheese Pizza: 6.1/10 – A true New York-style pizza with decent flavor and a fair price. It could have benefited from a slightly longer bake to add more crisp to the crust and undercarriage. Solid but not standout.

Steak and Cheese: 5.2/10 – A very basic sub with little to set it apart. The flavor was average and lacked depth, coming across more like a frozen-style option than a...
