I’ve always liked their food. But it seems like the quality of the food, drinks and service has gone out the window. They got rid of their drink menus so you have to scan the code on the table to pull it up on your browser. Which we did and they had happy hour advertised so we thought great! We’re within the time window. When I look around for the waitress I notice her getting her hair braided by another employee..because that’s the professional thing to do. Finally I get someone to call her over and I ask what ingredients go in one of the drinks, she couldn’t tell me except that it’s sweet .. okayyy we order the drinks and they were terrible. I returned my drink because it was awful. She brings me something else equally as bad but I didn’t bother to send it back. I ordered fish and chips they bring it with no tartar sauce. Once I ask for it she brings me some packaged tartar sauce and I asked don’t you all make your own? No we don’t. If I recall Correctly they never give packaged tartar sauce. It was disappointing to say the least. Tasted horrible. The fries were bland and soggy. No taste whatsoever. They bring our check and as I review it I notice we were charged the full price for the drinks so I questioned it and waitress says oh the happy hour doesn’t apply to North Carolina and got ready to walk off. I said no ma’am hold on.. the drink menu says it’s happy hour and I showed her she was clearly bothered so she brings the manager who apparently has never even seen the drink menu on the browser because she had no idea what I was seeing. I show her and she tried to say the fine print must disclose that this location doesn’t honor the happy hour rates. I ask to point out where the fine print is. Couldn’t show me. Then she says your location has to be on for it to default to this location. My location is on ma’am. I told them that’s false advertising then. You guys need to fix that. After going back and forth for a few minutes she ends up telling us she’s going to remove the drinks altogether from the tab. I was fine with that but the experience was...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a late-night bite in Raleigh, do yourself a favor and steer clear of Hooters. My party of three arrived at 11:16pm and was seated with a server named Mady. While pleasant, she seemed more invested in chatting and laughing with other patrons than in actually doing her job. We had to call her over to place a simple order of wings at 11:38pm.
Two other parties came in after us, ordered, and received their food well before we did. When we asked for an update, Mady brushed us off, only to be seen moments later delivering shots and dancing with another table. By 12:32am—nearly an hour later—we still had no food. I canceled the order.
Then came the manager. His appearance was disheveled, and his attitude even worse. He approached the situation with zero professionalism and a confrontational tone. When I pointed out the excessive wait time and poor service, I was scolded for being “disrespectful.” I asked for his name to file a complaint—he refused. He's a black guy that smelled like dirty earring backs and mop water. This level of disregard for personal hygiene, customer service and basic accountability is both laughable and embarrassing for any establishment.
We left and went to Denny’s down the street, where—despite a packed dining room—we were warmly greeted, seated immediately, and served our food within 20 minutes.
Bottom line: if you value your time, money, and sanity, avoid Hooters Raleigh. The lack of leadership, professionalism, and basic service etiquette makes this location one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in...
Read moreWhen I say I’ve never encountered such terrible service when it comes to a restaurant, so bad I just had to warn. I walk in, am standing there for about 2 mins while the hostess was sitting turned around watching TV. She finally turns around, hands me a menu and says “sit wherever”. All while she still sat there. I find a table, mind you the place Is slow, about 4 servers on. It took 10 mins before someone came up to me. At hooters, I’ve never had a waitress that didn’t come to the table with a smile. This girl greeted me like she just had no desire to make money that night. Sos I just switch over to the bar because I was hoping the attitudes would be different. Was I wrong. The bartender says “What’d you want?” Like it was an inconvenience to get my order, tapping her nails as I was selecting my sauces. All of this is happening as the have some kind of stuff about war on TV. Showing people all bloody and sad. (Real great vibe set). The guy next to me asked, can we change it to some sort of game? Something other than this? Bartender looks at him confused and says out loud, can someone find a game to put on? Cuz I’m not doing it. After that, I sat for about 5 mins, so unattracted by the mannerisms and the work the staff all around were doing, so I left before my food even came out. I never in my life thought I’d walk out of a Hooters. Get it together. It’s Sunday Sep.17th. So if management does see this, talk to the crew that was scheduled that night. That’s got to change or I’m guessing that place won’t be along...
