This is the best Mexican restaurant outside of California. In fact, it’s better than all the Mexican restaraunts in Southern California. I ordered an Enchilada Suiza and a Chile Relleno with rice and beans. The Enchilada was the best I ever had. The Chile Relleno was very tasty although a bit spicy. The rice was flavorful and moist, the beans smooth and creamy. Excellent wait staff and festive atmosphere. I learned back in 2018 that the owners are from Long Beach CA. No wonder why I love this place. I left this area and only recently returned, and couldn’t remember where it was located or the name. I was concerned that the Pandemic would’ve wiped this restaurant out. But to my surprise I found it today. It’s under the same ownership. This is a must for any Californians missing the flavors of home.

Las Marias is one of my favorite karaoke places to visit. The owner is very friendly and professional. The atmosphere is authentic and refreshing. The food is tasty and delicious. Every dish is cooked using fresh ingredients, herbs, spices and meat. 🥩 The tilapia is one of my favorite dishes. It’s very fresh and tender. It’s cooked perfectly and served with rice, beans, and salad. Every visit, I enjoy live music at Las Marias.🎶 It’s always very entertaining and sometimes romantic.❤️💯 In addition, majority of the servers only speak Spanish. I always struggle to order my food the way I want unfortunately. To solve this issue, I advise using your phone to translate. It worked well for me. Overall, great dining experience! 🙏🏻

Nobody greeted me when I walked in the door and I had to flag someone down to make a to go order. It wasn’t even that busy and there were at least 3 people behind the counter. I asked someone to make a to go order and she just called someone else to the counter to do it. I ordered 3 chicken and cheese pupusas and these are by far the worst pupusas I have ever had. Not only is the filling gross and the corn flour cakes bland, but the curtido (the cabbage slaw) AND the tomato salsa was disgusting. The curtido taste old and the tomato salsa tasted like tomato soup from a can.. first time trying this place and will never be back.

I came here because my mother loves their seafood soup, otherwise, I wouldn't have came. The restaurant is beautiful with ample seating. on this day i came there was a mariachi band singing to people per request very nice gave the autheniltic mexican feel. I came to pick up the soup that i ordered for my mother prior to picking her up from her 12 hour flight! It wasnt even ready when i got there! I was very upset, i imagin3 being an American calling to order food for pick up they thought i wouldnt come but i waited for another 13 mins for them to bring it out to me, but while I waited there was a waitress eating seeds of some sort from a package in a box to be sold to customers! I couldn't believe it because I was standing right in front of her, the seeds sometimes would miss her mouth and hit the counter the snacks were on. Seriously?! what if i were an undercover customer or sanitation!? Also. there was a lady skinning a cucumber without gloves in the front. If i hadn't paid $18.00 plus a tip bringing my total to $20.00 i would have walked out! So i finally get my food and i spill some on my way out, i come back and i speak to Arturo, I'm guessing hes the owner or manager well i simply ask him if he could repackage the food because some of the broth spilled he told me i would need to pay!! So i explained to him that im not asking for more food but if he could change the bag and put the food in a clean bag. Maybe about 1/3 Of a cup spilled in the bag not much but do you think he added more broth? No! I paid $20.00 for one item that came with bread and you couldn't just add some soup!? Well my mother is in town 2x a year and believe me I will not be back! Authentic mexican is everywhere in Raleigh, nothing makes...

I just dined here for lunch this afternoon and I was very disappointed. When I walked through the door it was very full of energy and a very pleasant atmosphere with lovely South American music playing and I was quickly greeted and sat at my table. From that point forward everything was terrible. It took 33 Minutes for them to come to my table and ask what my drink order was. The place was busy but not that busy and there was probably six servers in all working. It doesn’t take 33 minutes to ask or greet someone once they’re seated. Of course by then I had looked over the menu a dozen times so I also ordered my food. I ordered the macho burrito. When the burrito came it was cold, there’s way too much going on inside this burrito. I ordered it with beef and it had extremely dry, chopped up meat. Not the kind you would expect on some Carne Asada tacos either. This was like petrified, crack your teeth open old, should’ve thrown it away a week ago, meat. It was horrible. I was also never offered a drink refill, no salsa and my table was never visited again. Then the check came. $10.99 for the burrito plus a soda which is $3 I think. How did it come to be $21.49? I don’t know, maybe I can’t do math. I didn’t even bother, I just paid it, added a four dollar tip and got the heck out of there. I thought I would give this a try over my usual favorite Mexican place, torero‘s. Big mistake. Dry old poorly prepared food, took 1:10 to have LUNCH, no service whatsoever. I used to be a chef, I worked my way through school as one. It’s pretty hard to mess up Mexican food. It’s like breakfast. You have to go out of your way to mess it up. Especially a simple burrito. There’s no excuse. I do not recommend this place and I will...

I recently visited Las Marias and was very disappointed with my experience. I had high hopes based on the reviews, but unfortunately, the service fell far short of expectations.

When I arrived, the restaurant was moderately busy, but I didn’t think it would be an issue. However, after placing my order, I ended up waiting over an hour for someone to take our order. During this time, there was little to no communication from the staff about the delay, which only added to the frustration.

After waiting for such a long time, I ultimately decided to leave because the food was taking too long to prepare. To make matters worse, everything was overpriced. I was charged $10 for a Coke and a water, which is outrageous.

Overall, I understand that sometimes restaurants can get busy, but the lack of communication and the extended wait time without any explanation or apology was unacceptable. I hope that Las Marias can address these issues and improve their service for...
