I never leave a review, ever. But this brewery is far too good (the best Iāve been to in Raleigh and Iāve been to most) to be empty when others nearby by with far lower quality beer are packed out. If you question my beer education/judgement, Iāve been to world renowned breweries in Vermont (Alchemist and Hill Farmstead) and Iāve drank my way around Belgium earlier this year (yum!). We also have a annual Asheville beer circuit trip where we hit as many as we can responsibly in a 3-day weekend. Personally, I prefer euro-style but thatās because Iāve been turned off by a hopped-to-death New England style IPAs found around North Carolina. All this info is to prove that Iām not a beer novice who found one beer I like at Edit and think that makes it a great brewery. Every beer we tried at Edit was great. We had āSomething About the Cloudsā (fruity but balanced..crisp and refreshing⦠perfect for summer), both pilsners were well executed āPerspective: Germanā and āPerspective: Pilsnerā - both collaborations. I had also had their Lynwood Brewery Pilsner collaboration āin a fine locationā but was not impressed because it had off flavors ) (but it was not at Editā location). We also had āPerpetual Discontentā a really well executed double IPA that I actually enjoyed. We also had the Bluper Reel which was another really well done higher abv (7.5%) fruit (blueberry)beer. All in all every beer we had was really good. Our friends who are not really ābeer peopleāeven enjoyed their selection. I highly recommend you head to Edit to sample their selection on tap right now. You will find...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDecent beer, but your experience will vary drastically depending on who is behind the bar. They also cut around 50% of the menu of the items you could order directly from them to be delivered from Scooters. We only came here to drink and eat from Scooters. I LOVED getting the shrimp and it was one of the many items no longer offered. Between that and the experience with our indifferent bartender on our last visit, we probably won't go back. (Yes, I realize we could order at Scooters and wait and bring it over, which the bartender also made clear to me (š¤£), but I'd prefer not to do that) Edit to address comment below as I don't see how else to respond: We visited most recently on 7/1 around 3 pm. The bartender (whose name I didn't get because he didn't even seem like he wanted to be there, yet alone hold a conversation) told me the reason that you weren't offering the same menu anymore was because it was too confusing for the bartenders to handle which didn't make it sound like a Scooters decision, hence mentioning it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreReally nice space, tall ceilings with very large tables for large groups or smaller tables for couples. Definitely plenty of seating. Shares building with a restaurant/bar which is slightly odd but works. Music was at a good volume and sports were on a few TV's off to the side (not over the bar, which is nice). Beer choices were good with good selection and a few unique beers plus guest beers. Prices were standard for Raleigh, starting at 6 per pint for normal beer. We were both happy with our choices and the bar tenders were helpful. We brought our own dinner in, which I think was ok. You could also order food from next door and bring it over. I would definitely come back. Only improvement is to redo the text on the nice wood signs for the beers over the bar. They are super hard to read. Should be more clear from a...
