El Dorado has a pretty average appearance for a reasonably-priced Mexican restaurant. They have attractive, Mexican-themed decor on the walls. The only fault as far as appearance is that the entire restaurant seems to need a new coat of paint (see pictures). We ordered fajitas tapatias and fajitas tejanas at lunch time on a Sunday. Our food arrived quickly and was delicious. No improvements needed there. The most outstanding part of our visit was our server Briana. Briana was very attentive but didn't hover. She was polite and friendly. She even offered to take our payment up to the cashier for us, though it was the style of restaurant where you pay the cashier as you exit. I can't say enough about the excellent level of service we received from Briana. I will definitely request her as my server from now on!

Last Saturday evening was the first time at this place. The food was very good. I had fajitas, and my wife had the enchilada verdes meal. The friendly server had the perfect balance between checking up on us during our meal and letting us enjoy it. The host, on the other hand, never smiled to the point of being surly and gave us a table back by the door to the kitchen. The restaurant was not busy with well more than half the tables open. In spite of that, we will probably try again.

A hidden jewel eatery. I had a non-alcoholic Pina Colada with a splash of strawberry and it was amazing. Miguel my server was nice and food was served quickly. You get a lot of food for the price. I got the Taco Bowl with chicken. It was fresh and so delicious. The bowl is editable and just melts in your mouth. I would definitely go back and try more items. This place does get busy, but worth the wait. Prices are very reasonable.

Our first time, Sunday, Mother's Day, they were not busy. Horrible service, at least by our server. The other server I saw appeared to have some hustle. I got there well before my wife and I ordered a beer and a water. Well after my wife got there they were brought out, still no chips. I watched three other tables get seated after us and they all got their drinks and chips, by the other server. Our chips finally arrived.

We ordered then, while we had a chance. My wife got the shrimp burrito and I got the Supreme(?) Fajitas. After what I'll say was an appropriate amount of time my fajitas were brought out - but nothing else. I mean nothing. No plate, no tortillas, no sides, not my wife's dish - nada.

So I'm watching the food in this red-hot skillet continue to cook. I watched the cheese literally burn into a black, crusty mass on the edges of the skillet. A minimum of 10 minutes go by, the skillet has completely stopped sizzling, and finally my wife's burrito and my sides arrive.

Most of the meat on the skillet was terribly overcooked by this point. I picked through it and tried to get pieces on top that weren't so close to the skillet. Virtually all the peppers and onions were soft, almost mushy. I would up making two burritos but ultimately left about 3/4 of the dish.

I sampled one of the shrimp from my wife's burrito - it was well beyond rubbery, it was literally tough to chew. So, it wasn't just my food being overcooked by a hot skillet.

The refried beans were ok. The salsa is pretty tasty, very finely blended, not chunky at all. That's not necessarily bad but there was very little tomato taste.

The room itself is depressingly drab. The painted wall where we sat was seriously scarred and beaten up from where the table had been banged against it. The urinal in the men's room was in full view of the hallway when the door was opened.

And speaking of the men's room, I noticed an employee leave the toilet stall, walk out the door, and I could immediately hear the swinging door to the kitchen right across the hall open. Maybe there was better soap in the kitchen.

We will NOT be going back. I only give it 2 stars because the beer was cold and the salsa was acceptably tasty with...

First off, the food is amazing. The experience is awful. Horrible service and they keep getting our order wrong. My husband and I have been coming here for years but the past few months our orders have been wrong. My parents have been saying the same thing, so it isn't just us. If I order a chicken taco, I get a beef taco. I've ordered takeout and got a combo with a spinach quesadilla. After I got home, the quesadilla wasn't in the bag. I called and let them know and they asked me to drive back. They didn't give me anything to compensate me for my time, gas, or even apologize. I ordered take other time and the didn't include the cheese dip. Again, I had to drive back and ask for it. My husband ordered a burrito and asks for no beans and sub it for rice, and instead they just have meat and exclude the rice and beans entirely. I can understand when an order is super complicated there might be some issues, but just to sub out one item shouldn't be too much to ask. Today, I ordered online because no one answered the phone. I walked in and waited at the desk. The phone was sitting on the counter and three girls were talking in the back. After a few minutes the hostess finally came up to me. She went to the kitchen to get my order and then didn't come back for 15 minutes (again the phone was sitting there on the counter so anyone who calls wouldn't get service). It looked like the hostess never sent my order back to the kitchen or the kitchen never made it because it look 15 minutes to gather my online order (even though the order tracking online said it was ready). Again, no apology for the long wait or anything. We love the food but the service has gone down hill and with all the mistakes they keep making with our food, it isn't worth going...

Don't bother! The food is mediocre at best and the service is spotty. Sometimes great, other times awful. Last night my family of 3 went for dinner out. Got there around 6:40 p.m. It was definitely more crowded than I've seen in recent years. We sat for 30 minutes before anyone asked for drink order, waited a while longer and finally flagged a waitress to request chips. Everyone around us had drinks, chips, and were being served. Nobody tended to our table. We sat another 20 minutes with empty glasses, empty chip basket and no sign of dinner--while other tables had been served and finished their meals. My husband went and asked another waitress about our food. She got our waitress' attention, who immediately brought cold plates of food for me and my son (obviously prepared and left sitting there a while). My husband didn't get his veggie fajitas. He asked again. We were told it would be another 5 minutes for his dinner. The waitress made no attempt to apologize for forgetting our food, for not bringing his, for not filling water cups, for not bringing chips, nothing. Just said they were busy and wandered off. Meanwhile, we watched another couple arrive, order, and receive their meals while we were still sitting there waiting for his food to arrive. Ridiculous. I understand being busier than usual and not having enough staff. I don't understand the lack of friendly service and a simple apology for...
