I really, really wanted to like this place and make it my new go-to. The pedicure with the extra massage time is something that other salons do not offer, and I truly enjoyed the actual service. However, as much as I loved the quality of the pedicure, I can’t justify returning due to the poor customer service.
I’ve had two disappointing experiences. The first was when a nail tech encouraged me to use regular polish instead of my usual gel. I typically book the last pedicure appointment on weekdays at 4:30 because of my work schedule. My pedicure was completed a little before 6:00, which is the salon’s closing time, but since I had regular polish, I needed to sit under the dryer. The man and woman at the front desk only allowed me to dry my toes for five minutes before telling me I had to pay and leave—even though it wasn’t yet 6:00. They suggested I wear the flimsy salon flip-flops outside in the middle of December. To make matters worse, I believe they are adding too much thinner to the polish because it began cracking within days.
The second instance of poor customer service happened when I booked an appointment online, drove 30 minutes to the salon, and was told upon arrival that they had no record of my appointment. I had a special event the next day, so I was frustrated when the receptionist simply told me they couldn’t help me. I have booked online for every visit since my first appointment and have been to this salon several times, so I had no reason to lie about making the appointment. Yet, instead of offering any assistance, the receptionist sent me away without a solution, even after I explained my situation.
Unfortunately, despite the quality of the actual services, the dismissive and unhelpful customer service makes it difficult to...
Read moreThis place is unreal. Quite honestly, I don't think another nail salon in Raleigh can compare. The attention to detail they place to ensure the client feels cared for and relaxed is can't be beat. They specialize in pedicures and massage and really give your money's worth. When you enter the salon, it's quiet and serene with relaxing music playing in the background. They emphasize using your "spa voice" and silencing your cell phone to respect the peaceful ambiance they strive to create for their clients. I was offered a beverage of my choice and then they started the pedicure process. I got their cheapest option (Herbal Deluxe Pedicure) and it was incredible. It included removal of calluses and exfoliation. Did I mention their massage chairs are actually quality chairs and apply a good amount of pressure? Afterwards, I was taken to a separate room where they dipped my feet in paraffin wax and gave me a 10 minute massage. Then they tok me back to the main area to finish my pedicure with polish. If you come here, expect it to take a while (45 minutes - 1 hour) and of you're running errands, make sure to space it out far enough so you're not running late to your next appointment. Suffice it say, I...
Read moreI have been here many times, and this time is the worst. I personally don’t watch the nail techs when they are cutting my nails for a pedicure, but this time I regret not watching. The woman cut my nail so short that you can see the sensitive skin where the nail is supposed to be. I didn’t get to look closely at my nails until after the massage, when I noticed at the end that my right pinky toe was extremely sensitive after being rubbed roughly by the towel. To put it frankly, my toes look horrible. They are extremely short and sensitive. When I informed one of the workers of what happened, she shrugged and smiled a little, which I found extremely rude and hurtful. One of the women whom I assume is the boss was walking around with her hands behind her back observing everyone, before she panted my nails. She asked me why I was flinching. I told her that my nails were cut WAY to short and that she was digging her nails into my sensitive skin. She seemed confused and as if she didn’t care. I am honestly jarred by this very upsetting experience and it has made me wary of getting my nails done again. This was supposed to be a relaxing day, but has instead turned into a...
