Hello,
Re: Retaliation After leaving my review below, last week on a Saturday, l was meeting my regular church group for breakfast at Briggs once again. l was stopped at the door and asked to step outside. The cashier told me since l had left a “bad and negative” review, that l was “no longer allowed inside” and “we no longer need or want your business”. This was the same cashier who l referenced in my review below. He said the owner doesn’t want me back. I am SHOCKED! This is unbelievable! What happened to the First Amendment? l have written GOOD & Bad reviews on this Briggs Restaurant in Raleigh. Let me remind you the First Amendment applies to everyone. TERRIBLE :SERVICE and FOOD!!

October 20 Sunday after church I was in a party of five they seated us at a very small table that was ridiculous. It was cramped overcrowded and everything was spilling all over the floor. I ordered a meat omelette with no ham. grits, short stack of light, brown pancakes, and coffee. I received a omelette that was full of ham ,full of ham on the inside ,full of ham on the outside. My pancakes were a dark brown and grits were runny and Cold. I did not want to delay my friends from church by re-ordering over I showed the waiter. My food was totally incorrect. and he made many excuses about the cook in the kitchen. Most establishments would have credited my meal or made some type of amends for my meal and again we were seated at a small table, and the whole experience was horrible. I told the cashier about my food and they did not seem to care. I told the cashier about my omelette and he did not care. I told the cashier about my pancakes were dark and they did not care. I give this restaurant a zero for customer service. I give them a zero for food preparation my suggestion these people need to get retrained. Everyone does not have the time to wait for another order. It is my opinion that they care more about making money than taking care of the customer and . This was a horrible breakfast horrible. when I had spoken to the cashier later after my meal, there were many excuses I gave them many opportunities to correct their mistake but they refused. I feel very sad to be...
Read moreI went in for breakfast this week. My server was excellent, however, I will not disclose her name. I overheard the manager whose name I did get & will disclose, Janet, yelling at my server in front of staff & customers. That was unacceptable; Janet's behavior was inappropriate & I felt so awful for my server. Evidently my server was sent home & my server said have a nice day as she was leaving & the manager once again yelled at her for telling me goodbye & to have a nice day. I will never return to Brigs after my experience. I will not recommend Brigs to anyone. My server was perfect & pleasant; my order was correct but evidently an order for another table was not made. Since I was sitting next to the kitchen I heard everything. Janet's tone & attitude was rude & disgusting. Needless to say I lost my appetite. My server did not deserve to be yelled at & kicked, not actually kicked but kicked while she was down is a phrase; she was not physically kicked. You trust Janet to run your restaurant? She should be fired & my server should sue you for defamation. I'd say more about what I heard but I think that could be a possible civil suit. My server did contact me and I've taken her case pro-bono. Unbelievable!! Update: The server was finally paid after 4 wks. My posting is true & I don't appreciate being called a liar. Again, I heard everything & will support this server for any legal matters if need be. The server was asked by Janet if she was crazy when she called and asked about tips owed & last paycheck. That was completely unprofessional & I feel as though this review speaks for itself. Thank you for your reply (now conveniently missing) but what you claim simply is not true because you were not present at the time. I did take a screenshot of your response, so even though you have deleted it, I have a copy. Attorneys are allowed to use whatever words they deem appropriate. To respond & write that I don't sound like an attorney is laughable. Perhaps you have never met me but I'm a Bulldog in the courtroom & my server can still sue for defamation. Be careful in what you write in response to negative reviews. Good Luck &...
Read moreThis restaurant was a recommendation from a hotel clerk. Normally, I am skeptical when asking about local businesses in towns I visit, but THIS one, was on-the-money and Then Some!
The only drawback was the wait time... On One Hand, that could be a bad sign, that shows the service staff is slow. On the Other Hand: I looked at it as a testament to the popularity of this establishment (& I soon found out WHY!)
Menu prices were quite competitive and based on my order, the food portions were equal to that.
I was there around noon, so I was torn between ordering breakfast OR, lunch items. I opted for an Omlette called "The BEAST", which included Ham, Sausage, Beef, all diced up, covered in Cheddar Cheese.
Before, I ordered "The BEAST", I ordered an appetizer, based on the name alone. It was called the "Almond NutMuff". (Insert Joke Here.)
Both items exceeded my expectations! The Almond NUTMUFF, was a toasted English Muffin with brown sugar & cinnamon with melted butter and topped with almond slivers and a generous side of sour cream.
The BEAST sides I opted for was fresh fruit and an English Muffin split in half. I expected only ONE type of fruit. INSTEAD, I got FOUR! (about 9-11 grapes, a slice of honeydew melon, an orange slice & a slice of pineapple.)
The service staff was great as well. My server ("Juanita"), was friendly, fast & courteous!
First Impressions ARE Lasting Ones and I am DEFINITELY making this a regular stop, whenever I travel to Raleigh and I would recommend this to...
