The hostess is terribly rude. We had several encounters with her and wanted to give the cafe a chance since everyone there has been beyond delightful and customer service focused, and the food is great. Unfortunately, every time we entered the restaurant, the hostess made it her duty to be rude to us and remind my husband and I to only remove our masks when eating or drinking. The breaking point was when she walked us over to our table and told us to NOT remove our masks even when seated until our beverages and food arrive and to mask up when not eating or drinking. My husband and I would always cooperate until a second couple walked in and she greeted them and watched them remove their masks even before getting the menus and she didn’t say a word to them! In fact she stayed and talked joyfully to that couple and never asked them to put on their masks and mind you they didn’t have any food or drinks. That was the last time we ever went to Creedmor Cafe. What a shame that one person can ruin the whole experience and a restaurant’s reputation. We felt discriminated and targeted. I’m not sure if she’s only the hostess or owner too, either way we will...
Read moreThe pro’s: the service is excellent, especially considering how understaffed they are. Everything came out within a reasonable timeframe, hot and without complaint. The ambiance is fun and enhanced by the artwork on the walls.
The con’s: the FOOD…. The sweet tea my boyfriend ordered wasn’t very sweet. The coffee I ordered tasted watered down. Their chef salad is served with Swiss cheese instead of cheddar. The toast is under buttered. The omelette was the worst I have ever had, it came with eggs, lox, and onions. No cheese, no hollandaise, just super salty and fishy. The monte cristo doesn’t come with any sort of preserves or jam on the side. They don’t do mimosas or any sort of alcohol…. With BRUNCH.
The overall analysis: While the meals themselves were not delicious and the other menu items looked questionable, the vibes of the cafe go a long way towards making up for it. The service is above average when staffing constraints are factored in. We would be willing to try it again and give it another chance. It will make a good number 2 choice of brunch venue for when our better one nearby is on...
Read moreI took my mom out for breakfast on my birthday. Thought I'd try a new place. This place was giving a family owned vibes which is beautiful. The vibe of the place is small breakfast diner (The booths are bit worn.) The Hostess was polite and nice and seated us very kind. Our waiter was a younger man who was very polite and helpful. We placed our order and it came out in a decent amount of time. I will say that my orange juice was spoiled I alerted our waiter he ask would I like another but I didn't want to take any chances so I declined. I ordered blueberry pancakes and i received plain pancakes. My mothers order was perfect. I myself will not return to this restaurant just off receiving spoiled juice I was honestly afraid to finish my food thinking it wasnt safe but i ate as much as i could and didnt get sick so, but that's not the only reason. The food wasn't good in my opinion. That's not to say you shouldn't try this restaurant! Everyone likes different things. The people I encountered here were kind so for that reason alone,...
