Wow. Where do I even begin. Goodberry’s Frozen Custard on Strickland Road provides EASILY the best service by any establishment that I have ever been to. At goodberrys you aren’t just a customer, you are family. I am certain that If I asked any worker at this establishment to loan me money on a rainy day, watch my child while I am out of town, or even walk me down the aisle (if I were a woman), they would without hesitation. But amongst all of the amazing workers at Goodberrys on Strickland road, there are two bright stars that stand out among the rest. Harland and Alex truly may be angels sent from heaven. There is just a certain glow that beams from them while they are serving you ice cream. I was parched after eating my frozen custard and having an amazing discussion with my fiance (goodberrys is an amazing family environment, so it felt as if I was just having a conversation in the comfort of my own living room). Anyway, I was thirsty but I had an issue. It was 12:05 am, and goodberrys had closed at 12. I figured I could at least try and beg the workers for just a sip of water, but when I expected disgust and a bad attitude from the workers, I was met with a beam of love… and hope. My thirsty and anxious heart was met with a calm I had never experienced before. I was provided with an ice water WITH A LID AND STRAW by Harland and Alex, and not only that, but they offered my fiance one as well. All with a smile. when most people would be tired and ready to go home and scene be moody, Harland and Alex served us with joy, energy, and a smile, while working over time. Goodberrys isn’t just a Job for them. It is a stewardship, and they are stewarding their occupation with excellence. Thank you, from the bottom...
Read moreIf you've never had Good Berry's Frozen Custard you don't know what you are missing! This isn't your average "ice cream". At first glance it may appear to be boring, soft-serve like you might find at Dairy Queen or a frozen yogurt shop, but the addition of eggs in the custard recipe makes for a much richer and decadent frozen treat. Good Berry's also uses only a few natural ingredients with no added chemicals you can't pronounce.
They offer vanilla and chocolate, plus one "flavor of the day" that changes each day (check out the calendar posted to find an exciting flavor that interests you). You can then mix in a cornucopia of different flavorings and toppings to form what they call a "concrete"... Your own personalized frozen custard concoction that is so thick and rich that they flip it upside down in the cup to prove it! I'm especially fond of their "chocolate chips", which instead of traditional chips that become hard lumps in the cold ice cream, are made with liquid chocolate that is drizzled in while blending to form little flakes as it meets the cold and re-solidifies. Treat yourself to a "concrete" today, or maybe a more traditional sundae with toppings sprinkled on top instead of mixed in. You can also take home pre-packed pints and quarts of many of the popular daily flavors if you missed your favorite on...
Read moreWe have been waiting for our food for 25 minutes. We have watched 14 orders placed after our order sent out. Finally, my husband was given his ice cream. He asked about mine and was told it was being made. It wasn’t. 10 minutes later, I asked again. When I was told it wasn’t ready, I asked for a refund, since my husband had finished his ice cream. Manager asked what my order was. I stated what it was and said again that we were no longer in a situation where I would enjoy it. The employee then made it, and tried to hand it to me. I explained that, as I had already stated, we were past the point where I could enjoy it. I asked again for a refund. The employee rolled his eyes and was fairly dramatic about pitching it in the trash and made a sarcastic comment to a team member. I asked again for a refund. Employee shrugged. I asked for a manager. The manager put together 4 more desserts before taking 1 minute to give a refund. It was a busy night, though according to Google about half as busy as usual for the time and day. There were 7 individuals working and seating available. We came to enjoy ice cream as a treat together. If my husband waited to eat his, it would be melted. I believe they either forgot or gave out my ice cream, then made it difficult to obtain a refund in hopes that we would...
