First let me say I am happy with the suit and pants that I bought and had fitted at K&G. The adjustments fit wonderfully and they were done in a short amount of time. Where K&G falls utterly short is their customer service. While I was looking for a suit and pants yesterday there was one floor rep working the area I was browsing. There were two other gentlemen looking for suits and after about 10 minutes or so the sales rep approached them and asked if they needed assistance. I continued to browse and go to a changing room to try on different pants and coats while more people came to the store and were browsing. The sales rep again approached other people and asked if they needed assistance. Annoyed that I couldn't find a free person I moved to a different section to look for shirts and figured I'd go to Jos. A Bank or maybe the Men's Warehouse. Finally another person working the floor, who seemed much more interested in assisting me, approached and helped me through the purchasing of several shirts and getting me set up with the tailor. The next day, which is when I asked to pick up my order, I had to call them to check if it was ready to be picked up or not. I shouldn't have to call and check on my order and allow the time at which I asked to pick my order up to pass. When I called I was put on hold for five minutes until I was transferred to someone else. I was told I needed to bring my claims ticket in order to pick up my order. I was told, "everyone gets a claims ticket," by the woman on the phone. I never remembered getting one and proceeded to look through the K&G bag that had my shirts and recipt, my car, and the trash to make sure I hadn't misplaced it. After several minutes the woman on the other end of the phone said I could pick up my order if I brought my ID. After getting home I found the claims check stapled to another piece of paper that was attached to the button on the right back pocket of my pants. Another couple minutes of inspection, or even a higher standard of service and attention to the customer and their individual orders, might have given this store another star or two. If you come to K&G and you catch them on a slow off day you might get a great experience and find exactly what you need. I found my own experience...
Read moreI probably only been to this store once within the last two years. And this is probably my first or second time visiting. And now I see why. Like most shoppers you have a partner. Someone stands in line for you and you come to join them. My Mom just so happened to be at the front checking out. When me and my daughter walked up. CSR Diane told me I had to take my items and get to the back of the line.! Even after I explained I was with my Mother. That’s not breaking the stores policies or the law! I asked CSR Diane to call her manager. Mind you there was only two cashiers and a long line of at least 10 plus other shoppers. The MOD came up and CSR Diane said nothing. The MOD went to the 3rd or 1st register and began to help the next customer. I excused myself to speak with the MOD. CSR Diane stopped assisting my Mom. To follow me to try and intervene and argue by telling the MOD what occurred. The MOD disregarded what I stated and told me I needed to get to the end of the line. I didn’t argue I put my items down on the counter. And prepared to exit the facility. I retracted to ask the MOD her name. Which she reluctantly gave me her first and / last Trisha Smith. Which lead me to believe she doesn’t mind patronizing the stores shoppers. Because she believe nothing will come out of customers complaints. I then asked the cashier for her name and she was very hesitant on giving it to me. She was being emotionally immature. By not making eye contact, trying to purposely ignore me. She finally told me Diane after I asked her more than once. As I walked away gracefully. CSR Diane ended up yelling out loudly, all while being condescending. Asking me if I needed her to spell out her name?! I was agitated after all of that. I might not end up reaching out to corporate to voice my experience. But my review and word of mouth, will be left here for the world to see. God forbid if you going shopping there. With your family or friends and go your separate ways. You won’t be able to excuse yourself to get in line with your party. And another thing please remodel the bathrooms. I so desperately used them while shopping. The bathrooms are as old as the...
Read moreSo, I have been a K&G Fashions client for quite some time. I used to be able to get my Stacy Adam's cuffed shirts, cuff links, hats and etc. there. Needless to say, I have spent a bit of money at this store in the past. Forward to today. I am going in to search for a shirt, possibly shoes and other accessories for my upcoming wedding. So, I picked up a dress shirt that I believe to be my size and head towards the dressing room. It should be noted that I know for a fact that my neck measures an 18, but I usually wear a bigger size. So, I enter the dressing room and inform the seamstress that I need to try on the shirt. It should also be noted that I am over 40 years old and I know how clothes fit my body. That being said, I need to try on all dress shirts. So, the seamstress tells me that I can't open the shirt as it is packaged. I went on to explain to the seamstress that my neck size does not dictate my shirt size as I have explained above. She insists that I cannot open the shirt to try it on. Store policy she says. Needless to say, this news left a very bad taste in my mouth. I drove 30 minutes from Durham to come to the store and they will not let me try on a shirt. Ridiculous. So, if I putchased the shirt, took it home, and it would not fit . . . You get my drift. I would have to bring the shirt back unwrapped for exchange. Needless to say this store policy ruined my shopping trip. I estimate that $150+ walked right out the door. Yes, the pandemic shook up things. However, good customer service should really not be this depleted. I guess it was simply my day not to get the help or assistance that I needed. Well, on to JCPenny. I can order their shirts online, take them out of the package in the comfort of my home. I doubt that I will have to return them. Oh, the accessories, I will order from Amazon. Probably at a cheaper price as well. Shoes, I will go to Macy's.
K&G, do better. Not once did anyone ask if I needed help. I guess that I cannot rely on...
