Hibachi China Buffet — Restaurant in Raleigh

Now I thought I have seen everything and please I mean no harm and no offense to those who work in the restaurant business. HOWEVER, there are somethings from a patron's perspective is unacceptable.

Yesterday hubby and I went to an asian buffet for dinner. We were escorted in the back where we were the only ones at the time in this section before they had started seating other patrons.

I was not paying any mind as we entered, having a convo with hubby, BUT THE MOMENT my eyes looked in this direction I was in awe struck appalled.

I didn't say anything but curious to see what was going to happen.

Now mind you these TWO you see were sleeping the WHOLE TIME hubby and I were having dinner and conversation. We both shook our heads like all righty then.

BUT, it GETS BETTER!

Now mind you the server(male) was serving our table but then all of sudden he disappeared. Sleeping beauty with the black sneakers finally woke. Wiping the sleep out of her eye, yawn stretching and then comes to our table to clean up. HUH WHAT THE WHAT REALLY. CAN WE SAY BREATH MINT, WASH YOUR HANDS! HYGIENE!

She recognized we were done and proceeded to process our check. While she was away I noticed nobody wiped down the seats nor the table after TWO PEOPLE were sleeping in this booth and YES, THE ESCORTED A PARTY OF 4 TO THIS VERY TABLE. I was so done.

BUT, it GETS BETTER! So by now I am appalled and in disbelief.

BUT, it GETS BETTER! Sleeping Beauty brings me the check, I signed for the amount of meal NO TIP INCLUDED. I was watching her side eye. She was waiting for me to sign so she can take the check. After I had signed I put the check down, took my card and proceeded to leave. SLEEPING BEAUTY GOT GANSTA ON ME, and said "HUH EXCUSE WHERE IS MY TIP NO TIP HERE". I gave her the heffa please hand real quick and walked away.

As I was leaving I found the manager and along with two hostesses(male and female). I explained to them what I had seen including the tip issue and asked if it was customary for this to happen.

The manager shrugged it off explained to me it must have been a shift change why I had different servers and laughed at the fact the sleeping beauty demanded a tip. So goes to show the manager did not care.

The food here is top notch and one of the higher quality buffets on most it's selection to choose from. They have a majority of different items to choose from. The food is fresh and cooked to great quality. Thevsalmon is tender and has medium flavor, the steamed fish was cooked with precision, the sesame chicken amd general tso's was some of the best I had, and they also have lots of vegetables, meats, and seafood. The buffet also includes ice cream to scoop out, as well as sushi bar, fruit section. I hope to go back Yahweh willing. The only down side was the waitress I had was not even par status. She didn't refill my water, didn't ask if I needed anything, and just came by to get my plates when I wasn't there and then attempted to get me to leave by offering my check earlier. I confronted her and told her to be more mindful of her customers amd ask if they need anything amd that it can affect her customer attraction. I wanted to show Christ's love by encouraging her while telling her I was displeased, but still desire to show love. Next time, I hope she will do better, or either have a different servicer. The atmosphere was pleasant, and I enjoyed talking and meeting my fellow foodies around. The restaurant was 5 star level, the only reason I gave 1 starbservice was because of the waitress, but hope improvements were taken heed. Definitely...
