Jumbo China Buffet — Restaurant in Raleigh

This place has been here for decades so I assumed it would be okay. I was wrong. The buffet was so sad. Even the hibachi was questionable. The only thing not strange of the fruit and salad bar. Maybe the egg drop soup was okay. But everything else was highly questionable. The shrimp was inedible and the fried rice was just bad no flavor. I should have known something was up when they had Rancho music playing in the background. This place is a waste of money. Just gross. 🤮 don't do it. They are playing in our faces and selling food ruined by inexperienced or incompetent cooks. I so wish they would take care in the food they offer. How do places like this stay opened? The pictures showed they had seafood on the bar. They hardly had shrimp and what they did have was over cooked. Are there any restaurants that take pride in there establishment? Or are they just trying to get paid and do the bare minimum? I would think they would want to wow people so they could get...

Today was my first day at this establishment. Two of the workers were very rude and snappy with me when I walked into the restaurant. I walked 2 feet inside(as the rest of the place is blocked off) and simply asked if they were allowing orders to be picked up inside of the restaurant or outside only ( Due to COVID-19). The door is propped open however there is not a sign posted explicitly stating that patrons are not allowed to enter. “I was told to get back outside” also, “everyone else is waiting outside why would you come in” I replied with, “I’m sorry I was unaware as this is my first time coming here.” I deliver for Grubhub; each restaurant is different which is why I prefer to ask upon entry. But they were unnecessarily rude. Multiple customers walked in after I initially did.. no one knew not to enter. Just post a sign for clarity and be kind. These are tough times...

I'm not sure why I'm seeing all these reviews singing praises about this food.🤷 The food we had was terrible! We ordered General TSO Chicken, Egg Rolls and Chicken Egg Foo Young, everything tasted like a Star Anise Overload!! Yuck!! The Egg Rolls were burnt and for some unknown reason, they were RED inside. The Egg Foo Young had hard bits of chicken and the gravy had the same awful taste of star anise. General TSO Chicken was awful! Once again Star Anise!! Oh... I almost forgot the Soup... I tasted it... and poured it out! Also, ALL of the food tasted BURNT! The food may look pleasing to the eye but, that's as far as it goes. Quit pushing that awful spice into paying customers food.
