I received the WORST EVER service tonight at the drive thru at the McDonalds on Western Blvd in Raleigh, NC. I got to the drive through and noticed cars pulling ahead and when I got to the menu to order no one came on the intercom to take my order. The car in the other lane had also just pulled up to the intercom to order. We both sat there I know for at least 6 minutes and no one ever took an order. The other car proceeded to pull to the window which at this point we both thought the intercom was broken. The other car pulled around and moved out of my sight so I could not see if they had gotten someone's attention or not. I waited another 3 or 4 minutes and still no one had come on the intercom to take my order so I proceeded to go to the window to try to get someones attention. When I pulled around the corner there were no cars in line so I pulled to the 1st window and was immediately ignored by the 2 women that appeared to be fixing drinks for an inside order. Finally another lady that appeared to be the manager came to the window and asked can I help you with an attitude. I told her I had been waiting at the intercom and no one came to take my order. She stated they were changing shifts like that was my problem they were changing shifts. So I told her I would like to place an order and she told me I would have to drive around and get in the line that had formed almost around the building because of the SHIFT CHANGE. I immediately told her I think she should take my order for the time I have already had to wait. She told me she did not have a drawer. My suggestion was that she write my order down and then she can ring me up at the register that she was opening due to the shift change. She refused. I decided I was not going to place an order because at this point with the attitude I was receiving at the window from management I felt as if any food I would receive at this point would be messed with because of their attitude with me asking my order to be taken at the window. Also my son and I were coming from a football game and decided to go somewhere else. This is not the first time I have received HORRIBLE service at the drive thru at this location. I have also been there several times and there were more employees out in the parking lot taking a smoke break than those inside trying to work. Something really needs to be done about the evening shift at this location. I plan to also call tomorrow to voice my concerns with...
Read moreHere lies a critique, nay, an ode to the ambrosial concoction known as the McDonald's Mocha Frappe, a libation that doth dance upon the tongue with the grace of a sylph and the intensity of a tempest at sea.
Upon the first encounter, this chilled nectar, ensconced within its deceptively humble plastic chalice, presents itself with an allure most beguiling. The frappe, with its cap of whipped cream—a nimbus of dairy delight—beckons the weary traveler of the mundane to partake in a ritual of sweet surcease.
On imbibing, one is immediately struck by a symphony of flavors, where cacao's ancient and bitter whisper meets the dulcet tones of Arabian coffee, the two locked in an eternal ballet, choreographed by the saccharine touch of sugar's sweet embrace. This is no mere drink; it is a thalassic wave of pleasure, a confluence where the robust and the gentle conjoin in harmonious marriage.
The texture, oh, the texture! It is as if one has captured the essence of a cloud kissed by Morpheus himself, silken yet with the subtle crunch of ice crystals—a paradox of sensations that titillates the palate. Here lies the cunning of its craft, for in this tactile delight, one finds both the comforting warmth of familiarity and the thrilling chill of the new.
To taste this Mocha Frappe is to embark upon an odyssey through the realms of delight and despair—for how, after this, can common beverages suffice? It invokes a pang of joy so acute, it borders on the melancholic, the knowledge that each sip brings one closer to the sorrow of its absence.
The emotions evoked are as complex as the layers of its flavor; it is an elation akin to finding a long-lost tome in an ancient library, the thrill of discovery in every gulp. It conjures the bittersweet remembrance of forgotten summer days, where time languished under the watch of a more innocent sun.
In summation, the McDonald's Mocha Frappe is not merely refreshment; it is an experience, an ephemeral escape from the quotidian, a draught that could well have been served in the courts of old, where bards would sing of its glory, and alchemists would ponder its composition. It is, in all its glory and fleeting joy, a testament to the ephemeral pleasures of...
Read moreLast night I ordered a milkshake and two McChickens in the drive though. The drive through line was long (it took about 15/20 mins to get through to order at around 11pm) but I chopped it up to a busy night. Once I paid and pulled up for my food they told me after about 5 minutes at the window that the McChickens weren't ready and asked me to wait at the drive-thru slot 1.
I parked and waited another 15-20 minutes. Once I noticed that people who pulled in to the drive thru slots after me were receiving their food before me, I went inside to inquire about my food. I stood in line for another 10-15 minutes (whilst I noticed no one had gone to take my food out to me yet.) Once I got to the counter, I asked an employee about my order. He took my receipt and said they would get my food to me asap. (I should have noticed something was up because he went to the back, presumably to tell the kitchen staff, but once he came back he asked me what I needed again because he had forgotten I just asked him about my order.) I waited another 30 minutes while seeing everyone else slowly get their food and eventually when people who ordered after I asked about my food again started to receive their food as well I left. Especially since nobody was consistently at the counter (the man at the counter would leave to go to the back every other order for about 10-15 minutes at a time). I would have had to wait another 30 minutes to even ask about my food again and wasn't willing to wait over two hours for my meal.
I completely understand that there are busy nights, accidents happen, and waits will be a little longer. However, I never expected I would wait over an hour for food just to be forgotten & passed over three times. Especially with what I thought was a relatively small order that I had already paid for.
I definitely don't see myself going back. Hopefully my review prevents someone from going through the same thing I did and wasting both their...
