I absolutely love nothing bundt cakes but absolutely hate the location on Falls of the Neuse, in Raleigh, NC. They almost NEVER keep cakes available. The cakes are always dry and the quality of the cakes are prepared poorly. I went to this location on Thursday and by 12 pm they were completely sold out, which was the last straw and prompted this review. They don’t seem to care about serving customers during normal business hours and if they are sold out early, I guess they figured they will not make more cakes. They also NEVER have a variety of cakes prepared. I have had nothing but bad experiences at this location and apparently from talking with others they feel the same way. It’s a hit or miss location meaning one day you just might get a nice moist perfectly prepared cake or not OR you might drop in one day and they may or may not have a variety of cakes available. I think it’s completely bad business to run out of cakes (at a cake shop) before noon just to tell customers that you will not be preparing no more for the day, that is horrible! With this said, the nothing bundt cake location in Morrisville/Cary is the BEST! I only started going to the falls location because it was closer but with all the bad experiences I’ll be taking my business back to the Morrisville/Cary location. The Morrisville/Cary location cakes are ALWAYS perfectly made they are soooooo friendly and accommodating and they make sure to keep a variety of cakes fully prepared especially around holidays which is a big bonus for them. The extra few minutes drive to the Morrisville/Cary location is clearly worth it! As far as the (Falls of the Neuse) location is concerned, don’t waste your time! Go to the Morrisville/Cary location and you will see a MAJOR difference! I’ve been to several nothing bundt cakes during my travels to different states and the Falls location by far is the worst! Don’t let the Falls location negative experiences turn your back on the nothing bundt cake bakeries, thank goodness there is another location in...
Read moreThe employees and managers of this store are some of the rudest people I have ever had to deal with. They know absolutely nothing about customer service or basic manners in general. I placed an online order several days prior and went to pick it up this morning. I walked in and the guy behind the counter asked if I had a mask, I said no that I was just picking up, to which he rudely told me he wouldn’t help me without a mask. The City of Raleigh mask mandate had just been lifted the day prior so I was not required to wear a mask indoors. After simply trying to pick up my order, the employee told me I had to stand outside and wait for my order; I gave him the name on the order and proceeded to wait outside in 43 degree weather for over 25 minutes while they helped every single person that came in after me. Two more customers also came in without masks and said that the mask mandate had been lifted in a very calm manned, to which the manager came out and began yelling at them for also attempting to pick up their orders saying that it was a state mandate to wear a mask indoors; clearly she does not watch the news. After about 34 minutes of waiting outside in the cold the guy behind the counter FINALLY came out to ask me what the name on my order was AGAIN only because the large gentleman that had gone inside told him I had been waiting patiently outside and they needed to help me. Not only did the guy completely disregard me by not even bothering to remember the name on my order, I was forced to wait for my prepaid order in the cold while they helped everyone else, which was about 15 people, before coming back with my order. The employees here are the most unfriendly people I have ever encountered and I will not stand for this kind of disrespect and ridiculous treatment. The cakes aren’t even worth the hassle and absolutely hateful treatment given to you by their staff. Had they politely asked me to put on a mask from the beginning, I would have been more understanding and more...
Read moreThe cakes are delicious, but the service is the worst I have seen anywhere. Isaiah was the only person working the register and the line was 10-15 deep when I arrived to pick up my pre-order. When I finally got to the register, my order was not ready. He grabbed a brown paper bag and went in back. When he came out the paper bag was bulging and crunched up at the top like a child’s lunch bag. I opened the bag while standing there and the cakes had been thrown in the bag, some were upside down and not all of them had the flavor sticker on them. Since this was a gift for a sick friend, I wanted the flavor to be clear. When I asked why they were not labeled, Isaiah said they were out of labels. I told him to look for some. He pretended to look in the cabinet behind the register and again said they were out. I told him to go in back and get them. He did and came back with one and said they were out of the others. He was rude and obviously has not been trained. In the past when I have purchased the cakes, the bag is folded neatly at the top and then a sticker is placed in it. Not this time! When I left the line was still long inside and outside the door. Within a few minutes of me leaving my phone rang and when I answered they hung up. It happened again for a second and third time and by that time I realized the number calling me was the same number I had called to place my order earlier in the morning. I blocked the number. I wonder how Isaiah had the time to place harassing phone calls to me when they were so busy? Everyone can have a bad day, but this experience was an indication that the management at this location does not care. If they did, Isaiah would not be working there. After reading other reviews I see there is a theme of bad customer service. I will drive to Morrisville next time I want...
