Went to this Wendy’s on a Sunday evening usually have had a good experience here but haven’t been back in a few years this location has deteriorated tremendously to the point where I will not visit again. I normally don’t leave reviews unless I’m so irritated with the visit. Here is what happened.
On Saturday February 1, 2025 I visited this Wendys after my car had broken down and I needed to get some food and figure things out. There were other places open but I decided to go to Wendys because I enjoy the lunch menu and I usually have good experiences there. I walked on foot (after working a 12 hour shift) and when I arrived dine-in still had 6 mins until opening. To make things go by smoother, I ordered through the app. I entered the building around 9:10am and went to the counter. The Store Manager was still setting up the register so I went and sat down. Once I sat down the manager addressed me with a semihostile tone and asked me if I needed anything. I brushed it off and told her I already ordered in the app and was waiting for my order. It took about 12 mins for my order to be made and she placed it on the counter without notifying me or addressing me. Once I received my order I asked one of the other employees for some ketchup and sat down to eat and figure things out. I had intended on ordering again from the lunch menu at 10:30am because that was the menu I really wanted however at exactly 10am the store manager approached me and told me “I’m giving you 5mins until you gotta get out of my store”. After she said that I got up and left. Out of all of my experiences this was the rudest and most unpleasant experience I’ve had at a Wendys which is unfortunate because despite her initial rudeness when I entered the store, I was enjoying my experience before that moment. I don’t why she was so rude to me or why her customer service was so unpleasant. We don’t know each other at all, I wasn’t disruptive to the store, I was a paying customer, and I don’t look or at intimidating. This was my first time actually going inside this store so i have not seen how she treats other customers but I know she provided me with a very unpleasant experience for no reason. I know she didnt know what I was going through and I don’t know what she was going through. Maybe she was just having a bad day, but even then that wasn’t appropriate or kind to do. Read moreI am very familiar with this Wendy’s however within the last two to three months this Wendy’s quality has gone down considerably. The staff here is very unprofessional and super ghetto. The same young lady who works here who you can tell had a stroke receives absolutely no help from the manager or people in the back whatsoever. I was here a week ago and the manager told her, she did not pay her to talk to customers, but she paid her to work and to speed it up. Isn’t talking to customers part of customer service work. They leave this disabled young lady upfront without any help whatsoever. You can tell she needs help to bag items and to keep the line moving. I came in on Monday to grab lunch and they were laughing in the back behind the register, singing and playing. I did not see any manager around only children who were playing. The staff here had on head wraps and slippers. I haven’t seen the short lady who was the manager who was very nice before. I haven’t seen her in months. At least with her, things were ran better and there was staff here and people weren’t playing. The atmosphere here has become toxic and I can feel it and see it. Also when I went to wash my hands, me and another customer had to wait because there was a homeless woman in the bathroom taking a wash up. Today my husband said he stopped by and the young black girl was screaming and yelling at the disabled lady in front of customers. He said she humiliated her in front of customers.
