Little Buddha Thai Bistro — Restaurant in Rancho Cordova

There is another Thai restaurant in the area that a lot of people are comparing this place to (I will be polite and not name). I never cared for that restaurant, so when my wife and I wanted Thai, we found ourselves traveling downtown, even though we live very close by.

I can now say that this habit will be broken!

We have been to this restaurant 3 times now, each time getting 3 different dishes. We like to expand our horizons and try new things, and this restaurant has many options. We have never been disappointed by any dish that we have received here.

Side note...their green curry has been a personal favorite so far.

The food is great, but even better is the service. They have such a personal connection that they try to make with their guests that is rare to find. They remain attentive without being overbearing or hovering, which is a personal pet peeve.

To the owners, CONGRATULATIONS! You have completed the very difficult task of opening a new restaurant that has a comfortable feel and phenomenal food. You make us feel at home.

Side note #2...price point is perfect. Most dishes hover around $10. I've spent more...

Food is good and always has been.

But todays visits changes things. Service was not so good. Got a seat right away, but waited nearly 15 minutes before a server even came to our table. The people next to us finally got up to hunt one down. Then it took 20-25 minutes to get the food. We are talking about a weekday lunch. Most of the people coming in are on a lunch break so when 40+ minutes is eaten up by waiting its not good.

Now for the worst part. It was HOT AS HELL in the restuarant. We were sweating just sitting at the table. I happened to be near a thermostat and it read 85 degrees. Come on seriously! that is ridiculous!

I unfortunetly will never...

A great little place in Rancho Cordova! We ordered the Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, Thai Barbecue Chicken, Pad Asparagus, and finished off the meal with some Deep Fried Ice Cream. We ordered our pad Thai and drunken noodles Thai Hot, and you better believe that they delivered the heat! Aside from that everything was delicious and would be satisfying at any heat level. Service was very attentive, the place was immaculately clean and the lighting was pleasant, low but not dim, perfect for a nice meal.
