This is a spot I frequent due to the proximity to my job. It's in an unassuming strip mall, but don't let that deceive you of the quality of their food and service.
The wait staff is excellent and friendly. The prices are more than reasonable and the food is definitely above average. I've never got anything that I haven't liked.
They have a small self-serve chip bar with a great assortment of different types of salsas at all spice levels, so there's something for everyone. If you want limes for anything, just ask and they're happy to provide them from the kitchen.
I typically get the chicken tacos. 3 is enough. On Tuesdays they run a taco Tuesday special and the tacos are ridiculously low priced.
My only complaint is that the tacos can be somewhat watery. I don't know if that's because of the way that they cook the chicken? The tacos are still excellent, it's just not something that I'm used to when ordering street style tacos. I've also got the super burrito a handful of times. This also is an excellent choice when I'm more hungry and the tacos won't cut it.
Id recommend this spot to anyone, especially if you work in the area. Quick friendly service...
Read moreWe got a shrimp and steak burrito, fish taco, and a quesadilla. Utterly bland, everything was unseasoned. The tortilla was from some bulk restaurant supply store, and wasn't warmed in a pan or anything, so it just tasted like dough. The shrimp had no spice at all, and the little tiny "carne asada" bits just tasted like grey. The fish taco likewise had no flavor, just plain tilapia in unseasoned fry batter. Would it kill you to just add salt and pepper to everything, at least? They included the smallest little bags of chips ever, and even the chips were unsalted and flavorless. They came with two "salsas"; one was just green water and the other was watered down Tapatio. The rice was that terrible plain stuff that was dyed orange with carrot bits to make it look like "spanish rice". My wife threw away the rest of her quesadilla because it wasn't worth saving for leftovers. How do you screw up Mexican food? Far too expensive for the low quality...
Read moreSuper polite staff. Large menu and food was prepared quickly. I try to keep my reviews honest and transparent. Likely not a new favorite place for me, but still a VERY SOLID place to stop for mexican food. I plan to stop again next week when I'm back in the area. I tried 3 tacos; carnitas, grilled chicken & al pastor. I love al pastor, but this one was no where near what I typically like. I'm trying the carne asada tacos next time. Prices were fair and the chips were bomb. Yes the free tortilla chips were excellent and I went back for seconds. I see some nachos and burrittos in my near future as well. If you find yourself in need of a quick meal don't hesitate to stop hear. Clean restaurant and rest room, nice place to chill and grub before jumping onto the freeway or heading back to the...
