Im disappointed to have to write this, however I find I have no choice as this concerns peoples health and well being.
We used to love this place, however the last few burritos were horrendous, 80% fat and gristle. (This is not about the burritos) We stopped eating burritos there and would only go for the molcajete bowl once or twice a month, which is really good.
Last night we came in and ordered the moclcajete, sat down and noticed a homeless guy just hanging out inside the restaurant. Not the worst thing, although I believe they should not let them just sit inside the restaurant as they are all over outside.
My review is from what happens next.
Another one comes in, shirtless and filthy, butt hanging out. Comes in and helps himself from the chips and salsa bar, the prongs handle right back into the chips. Talking to himself over the bar of exposed food. We witnessed this guy do this several times, after loading up chips and salsa, leaving, then coming back in for more. No employees said anything to this guy. There was even some customer we saw buy a coke for both homeless guys. Families were eating with there young children.
My wife is a nurse and seeing a surge in tuberculosis in the homeless population. We are 3 months pregnant and will not be risking our health eating here again unfortunately. You can connect the...
Read moreNew hidden fees or someone is pocketing money. You decide. I Ordered two carne asada Super Buritos. Got charged extra per burrito .75 and some other charge of $2.00. The order came to $35 plus. I did not order anything extra at all. This is the Rancho Cordova location that did this and now say that they are charging $2.75 extra for carne asada when I asked the cashier. So when I got home, I contacted the other two locations (Fair Oaks and Elk Grove) and they told me the price was wrong and that even their website doesn't reflect the extra charges she gave me. So if they are adding on additional fees for nothing extra in the burrito, then let the website reflect that instead of leaving customers feelin like you just pocketed the extra $ I just got charged for. That's some shady mess! My exact order on the website for all 3 locations says 14.20 not $17.68 per burrito like I got charged at the Rancho location. You just lost a lot of customers because I'm tellin my friends. There is no burrito on this planet that is worth over...
Read moreTacos are my thing, I eat them everywhere I go. The tacos are OK here, mainly the meat is less than expected in flavor, amount and quality. There is more smoke ad mirrors on the plate presentation going on here. If I order carnitas, Carne asada, al pastor, chicken etc, then I really wanting to taste that specific meats flavor. However, it's drenched in salsa or sauce and then it tends to dampen the Tortilla. There are many things that could improve on the Tacos, like more meat, grill/cook the corn tortillas with a little oil (oil repels meat/sauce/salsa moisture) and add a couple lmes to the taco plates. I've cone here at least a dozen tines, same old thing. Lastly, the medium red salsa ALWAYS has too much oregano, plus a odd taste of vinegar I think - which taste horrible. Salsa is one of the easiest things to make, all the ingredients are there just NOT measured out and mixed properly. Salsa flavor is EVERYTHING to the identity of the restaurant and currently that is a large part of my poot review BUT I do feel this...
