So I just went to Lucky Wok and my Grandson and I were going to order Food dine in and the first waitress that came to us was very nice but then she did not come back in a white dude came over to us with black hair with a red shirt and he was just ugly. I mean my grandson is definitely a child and he asked us is the order separate. My grandson is 12 years old. He's coming in to eat with me and I looked at him and said it's together we couldn't figure out how we wanted to make the order, but he had such a nasty attitude the way he was talking he was talking to us like as a matter of fact, or you know like at the time without being slick at the time so his behavior was so nasty and his breast smell like cheese I said just forget it we'll just go somewhere else and as I was walking out, my grandson heard him say Too bad too bad. I don't know how to read the menu like I didn't know how to read, and as he spoke to me about a order, he said you said, is chicken, beef, shrimp, but there was no commas on the list. There was red line And his behavior was so nasty. I just didn't want to eat there no more I just felt you don't need my business. You must be rich so I left, but I came back because of what my grandson told me he heard him say and I said FYI I do know how to read and my grandson hurt what you said, and he tried to deny that he said it, but my Grandson everything that he said so from my opinion in my visit there, I say don't eat there and if I had to give it a I had to give it a star to make the review but they don't deserve any stars with me like they don't deserve any star. They need a F plus because of him, but he was horrible. Terrible customer service and I am African-American. I think he was trying to make me curse him out But it's not worth it. This is not my establishment you missed out on $40 worth of ordering so that's for sure and they should definitely fire you no tip for you either like I tip good too so we're on our way to another Chinese restaurant instead on Watt ave by A street. They missed out on the business by they're too good or he thought he was too good for our business to where he could talk to us any kind of way I'm talking on the mic so it might be some typos in here, but it was so funny because after he found out, we weren't going to eat there it's like he showed his true colors and said that I did not know how to read, but I know how to read. It was just your prices are too high for your behavior Like if you're gonna give somebody a behavior everything should be five dollars and it was empty. Nobody was in there. The atmosphere was like boxes everywhere. but I went in there because I used to go in there a long time ago when it was different management in the business was thriving. It wasn't thriving anymore F plus RF minus for this business and I will be going to a different Chinese restaurant. they did not even look like he was Asian or anything ruining the company business and I will be calling the company making a complaint to on top of this review. It's good thing that I did not have my TikTok on because most of the time when we go to a restaurant, my grandson and I we do a review But this time I wasn't thinking about a review I was just trying to take him to get something to eat So we went to Wong's instead of WATT Avenue The pictures are from Wong'S not lucky Wok

Very nice clean restaurant. On today's visit I ordered the orange chicken and chicken chow mein, and a side order of Mongolian beef. The orange chicken was great. The glaze had a crispy crunch like you'd want if you were eating fried chicken. The sweetness was low but balanced with the orange flavor and had pleasant subtle flavoring. Total perfection. The chicken chow mein was cooked perfectly. The noodles were lightly coated and the flavor was light but perfect and balanced well with the orange chicken. The Mongolian beef was excellent, came with a healthy dose of veggies, and had multiple flavors that danced on the tongue. The oils added an enhanced but light subtle flavor. In my photos I took a photo of the dish, and half the dish so you could see the oils. The oils were also great to lightly toss my chow mein with the veggies to enhance the flavor even more. The only down side was their was zero spicy and hear factor to the Mongolian beef. Your grandparents could safely eat it. Im used to my Mongolian beef being spicy with a good kick of heat to my palette. However this is my first visit to lucky wok and I am factoring in I should've asked as some restaurants customize heat to the customer's request and use mild to low spicy/heat by default. The combination plate also comes with a soup of the day for free on dine-in orders only. Today's soup of the day was an excellent egg drop soup. It was delightful. Full of subtle flavor, and that wonderful broth which is rich and thick. There was plenty of seating and the interior has a nice chic vibe and atmosphere. The ac was just right for comfort. The staff was friendly, polite, and attentive. I'd recommend this spot for a family outing, or for lunch or dinner on the go as they specialize in take out and delivery.

My family enjoyed Lucky Wok Chinese Restaurant. The service was exemplary. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived and we had food quickly. We had vegetable fried rice, mushroom chicken, orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp. All the dishes were flavorful and delicious. The orange chicken wasn't overly sweet and had minced garlic to give it a bit of kick. The mushrooms prepared with the mushroom chicken were fresh and cooked perfectly. There was no hint of overdone soggyness to them. They were firm and cooked just to the point of losing the snap of a fresh mushroom. The sauce on the honey walnut shrimp was also excellent. It was sweet without being overwhelmingly so. The prices are great and the portions generous. We'll return for morea

I went to dinner with an old friend that I hadn't seen in quite awhile, and we decided to try this place. So first off, the food.

I am vegetarian, and their vegetable chow mein is vegetarian (no meat broth is used), which is a plus. I ordered this and the Kung Pao Tofu. I wasn't familiar with the place, so unsure on how spicy it would be, so ordered it medium. When it arrived, I found the Kung Pao Tofu to be extremely mild, so if you like any kind of spice, you're probably fine just ordering how they would ordinarily make it. The tofu they use seems to be softer (not firm). I thought what I ordered was fine. It was a bit greasy, but I like that. The person I was with ordered a chicken mushroom dish and Chicken Chow Fun and seemed to like it just fine.

And now the service, and my rating of this place is heavily skewed by the experience we had with the service. We arrived a bit before 8 PM, and they close at 9. We sat down and were talking for a bit, and the waitress kept coming by asking if we were ready to order. Like repeatedly and only a couple of minutes apart. I initially thought this was just her being attentive so that we weren't sitting there waiting to order.... So we ordered a little after 8, and the food arrived quickly. After about 20 minutes, with food obviously on our plates and currently eating, the waitress came by and asked "Do you need boxes to take that with you?" I told her we probably would, but that we were still eating. She said ok and went away. This was at about 8:30. Less than 5 minutes later, she was back, asking again while we were still clearly eating. I again told her that we were still eating. Ad then, a few minutes later, she's back with boxes in hand (this was maybe 8:40). I relented and told her that she could leave some boxes, and we'd put our leftovers in them when we were done. She told me she would come back and box the food up and didn't want us to do it "because she didn't want to have to clean the table." She moved away and I laughed. At about 8:45, the person I was with started to move his food from the plate to the box and sure enough, the waitress is back right away, saying he's using the wrong box (???) and says "here, I'll do it," and tells me to take whatever I still want to eat, because she's going to box mine up. I say, "OK, go ahead. I'll just finish eating at home" So she does. All I could was laugh and shake my head. They REALLY wanted us out, and it was not even closing time yet.... So very odd.

So the food was fine, but they sure do like to make you feel like they want you to order, pay and get out. I suggest you only go if you want take out.

I did pop into the bathroom on the way out, and noticed this amazing painting of a llama which greets you as you enter, so...

Went here just this past Saturday 1/29/22 to takeout a hot and spicy chicken combination plate and a regular plate of Szechuan Beef, total cost was like 30-32 after tax. I felt the portions were mostly fair for the price, but not particularly great compared to the other chinese restaurants in Sac County for the price.

Restaurant: Noticeably old, but I liked the general design theme and it seemed fairly clean. Greeted nicely enough and got my food quick, ready within 20 minutes of placing the order ahead online. What really made me happy though is I requested everything extra spicy and they did seem to add extra peppers to everything, even the chow mein in the combination plate! While it wasn't that spicy anyways, I appreciate the effort to listen to requests, as a lot of places don't really do that well.

Both dishes had pretty heavy breading, which isn't necessarily terrible. By the time we got home, the chicken and beef was fairly soggy though, but it was a 20-30 minute drive.

~$13 The combination came with chow mein and an egg roll.

Hot and Spicy chicken: Tender good texture meat. Slightly less sweet than the beef, stronger soy flavor, a bit spicier, little more subtle flavor, not as sour. Overall not really that spicy though. Chow mein: I think it came with chicken as the meat (also tender) and bean sprouts, cabbage, carrots, and peas. Pretty decent, also had the extra peppers I asked for and pretty standard/satisfactory. Egg roll w/ sweet/sour sauce: nothing special, not bad

~$15 Szechuan Beef: The chinese takeout places around here don't seem to actually put any szechuan flavor in any of their "szechuan" dishes, and this place was no exception. The flavor was sweet sour soy, a little taste of bell pepper, seemed almost similar to "mongolian beef" dishes you get at take out places like panda. I liked it but again, didn't taste like szechuan and also heavily breaded. Meat was pretty soft but some pieces had some tendony bits I think.

I wish, for the prices, all the dishes would come with more vegetables or more meat. Seemed to be a fair value though. I enjoyed the meal and didn't dislike any...
