Coming from a family that eats at this location almost every Tuesday...We know we will receive good customer service and great food. However on May 7th, my family and I had the worst experience in my entire life. The food was good but the service was terrible. As we were checking out, we asked SANDRA to split our bill amongst the three of us. We began to list each item for each receipt. She immediately became frustrated and told us this was complicated. The first check was paid by a card. Easy enough...first one done. And then she asked us for the second check and again not hiding her frustration at all, we said we were paying cash for the next two. We began to list the items on the second check and she rudely interrupted asking who was going to pay for the third. There was three of us there. We showed $10 for the second bill and and $50 for the third. But she kept repeating who was going to pay for the third atleast three times. Even though there was three of us, she was not ok with one person holding the $10 in one had and $50 in the other. And SANDRA kept repeating "who's paying for the third receipt. I need to know that someone is paying for that one." Again we had to explain ourselves. And then she decided to smirk and repeat again how complicated this was. And in reality it was extremely clear. All restaurants are familiar with splitting a bill. And to top it off, every smart remark she made, she decided to add "Mama or mamas" at the end. My dad and I ordered a cheese steak sandwich and my dad a French dip with a salad and my cheesesteak I had a bowl of soup and I ordered a salad on the side. Our salads came out and then my soup when our sandwiches came out I noticed my meat looked a little off, I picked a piece off and ate it. It was cold still and tasted like it just came outta the freezer my dad asked if his was the same meat and the waitress replied yes and his was the same. She took our plates back to the back and about 10 minutes later brought the plates back out the sandwich’s now looked like they had been reheated and now the meat instead of having that freezer burn taste now just crumbled in my mouth. My dad immediately spit his meat out and told the waitress to take it away she informed us that the meat was cooked fresh every day so with out offering us another item she took the plates back and brought us a $52 dollar bill when we questioned why it was so much money she said because we didn’t eat the sandwiches she was still gonna charge us for the sides the 2 salads and soup, we asked for the manager and she said I am the manager. Read moreMany people love this place. Nothing I had would warrant me to go back, the food over all wasn't good. Visiting from out of town n a friend took me there. However, I was not impressed. Salad had a hair on it, but it was crisp n looked fresh. That's not the reason for not liking this place. Fried chicken was good, except the skin was yellow n not crispy. The breading was crispy, so not sure how that happened? The green beans were canned n it seemed like beans from yesterday were mixed in with todays?? Some were really mushy. Mashed potatoes n gravy were okay. Toast was not good at all. There are so many places in RC to try so on my next visit BD is crossed off that list.
