Cup Noodle Shop — Restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga

This place has been around for awhile I suppose, however, there are many amazing restaurants serving similar food near by so I didn't pay no mind till today after seeing an influencer on IG about it. To my surprise, they were extremely busy at 730pm and though they close at 9pm, they were already turning people down for sit in and limit to to-go only.

We ordered the beef noodle soup, since it was for a kiddo with peanut allergy, I asked it to be prepared non spicy with no peanut. Also ordered spicy chicken and spicy beef slices. After waiting about 35 min and touring near by 99 ranch, I returned to the restaurant and inquired about my take out. At the same time, I saw the lady in the back open up one of the bag on the counter, remove the lid and took it around the corner of the kitchen where I can clearly see, proceeded to scoop out bits of peanuts from the beef noodle soup. She then repackaged it and handed me the exact peanut contaminated soup with a smile. I didn't bother asking for new order as I was in a hurry to leave after waiting so long.

The beef noodle soup had 3 pieces of beef total, it was not tender but rather stale, the soup had a very strong garlic undertone that did not have the complexity of Chinese beef noodle soup is known for, not even close. The spicy chicken was not spicy at all, this dish is usually spicy with hint of Mala but this dish had an over powering sweet vinegar taste. The beef spicy beef slices on the other hand is okay. So all in all, I don't think this place is worth the hype as some influencer claimed it was.

First time visit 09/19/2024 came into this restaurant tonight for the first time very excited. I came alone. As I got there I was greeted, the restaurant was full so I sat in their large table on the left side since that was the only seat available, no problem. Not even 30 mins into eating . A party of 6 comes in no problem servers make room for the party. Moments later a gentleman comes in but only problem the restaurant was full and no sitting. The servers ask the gentleman to have a seat at their waiting chair right next to their cold drink. What happens next.. the servers look around double checking the restaurant and I’m guessing since they panicked or who knows what!? They stare at me and speak who knows what in their language one server quickly hands over the bill (at that moment I felt they wanted me out of the restaurant since I was alone and they were trying to make room for the gentleman that had just came in) the other serve just stared at me hoping that I would leave quickly. I order from this restaurant all the time. The food is really good. I place an order on doordash for my usual two orders of Chengdu Zhajiang Noodles plus the spicy beef bowl. I wore in the special instructions that the last 2 times we ordered that the bowls of Chengdu Zhajiang Noodles were very small portions and asked that they put extra sauce and make sure tge portion is correct. Right after I placed my order I received an email with an adjust of 20% increase on my 2 bowls. Iimmediately called the store and they refused to remove adjustment. I told them Iwas going to cancel my $70+ order and tgey said to do through door dash. Ridiculous to upcharge and send an adjustment after it's past the cancellation period through door dashes site. I complained about it to door dash and they did a manual override and gave me my $ back. They could have removed the upcharge and kept a $70+ sale and a customer that orders 2-3 times a week from them. TERRIBLE...
