Have come here before with a friend and my partner. We all liked the food so we decided to come back. I come back this time with just my partner. We walk in and signal to the host that we want a table for 2. The tall lady with glasses waves at a direction towards the left that we follow. She does not get up and take us to our table so we sat in an area where other people were sat as well. This is a pit stop meal for us before we run our errands and we were looking for something light that will give us energy, hence, tofu soup. The tall lady with glasses comes by and asks us our order, and we note that want to share a bowl since this is just a late lunch for us and were not anticipating on wanting a heavy meal. She looks at us sternly and tells us we need to move tables. She did not ask us if we wanted to move, she just said that “there is more ppl to come”. Mind you, there is a couple sitting in the booth next to us who came after and they were not instructed to move. It was only after we mentioned that we wanted to share a bowl that she had us get up, carry our waters and utensils, and moved us to a desolate corner of the restaurant. Side note, restaurant is in bad shape. Yellowed and frayed walls, needs reno badly, but I would’ve accepted the environment as a part of small business charm. What I found especially alarming is the disrespect me and my partner experienced when she forced us to move tables even though she did not tell us where to sit in the first place! My partner and I are queer too, so it makes me feel doubly disrespected since she seemed to treat all the other people around us kindly. If you want piss poor service, minimal sides, no water refills, and a dilapidated ambiance this is definitely the place to be! The sad part is, I enjoyed their soup, but the service soured the meal for me. I know I’m not the only one to feel the same, just take a look at the other reviews. None of them are about the food, they’re all about poor service and...
Read moreHORRIBLE SERVICE!!! I'm vegan and this place acts like they have vegan and vegetarian friendly. I order a bimbimbop/ rice plate and told the waitress that I want no meat. She came back with fish all over my plate. I worked in food for a while myself and I know mistakes happen. When I told the waitress that I ordered no meat and if they would kindly remake it. She gave me attitude and even argued with me that "fish isnt meat!" She yelled at me and refused to take the plate back. I told her that my order is wrong and that fish is considered meat to a vegan and vegetarian. She rolled her eyes and snatched my plate away and simply picked out the raw fish. I was so digusted when she brought it back. I told her i wasn't going to eat something that was touch by meat. She rolled her eyes again and never apologized. I was so stunned that this place was considered vegan or vegetarian friendly when they didn't even know the fundamentals of veganism. I complained to the manager and she was just as rude and that they will not lift the price of my plate after I refused to eat it. Don't be fooled by the title of this place. They have TERRIBLE service! And EXTREMELY RUDE staff. And NOT VEGAN/VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY! They will actually argue with you and force you to pay for a plate you refused to eat! Please...
Read moreThis restaurant offers traditional Korean food, the place is aged and really needs a remodel, but we like it because a lot of new restaurants are designed for you to cook your own food and it doesn't taste the same, we ordered the short ribs and it's served with the classic side dishes and over a hot pan with some onions, in this case almost no onions, that's the reason of the 4 star rating, we asked if they could make our order with extra onions and the lady said no. Well, the food was good but the steam rice serving was very small, as far as side dishes, we finished what they served and they provided another round. The plate of ribs for one person cost 30.00, I think we would probably return here because it's close to home but we have a better option in Chino Hills. Thank you for...
