El Mezcalito
9255 Base Line Rd # L, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730
Visiting California and trying all the foods.
Evening Dinner is as follows.
I ordered a beef fajita taco but received a beef taco instead. The beef taco was decent, but not what I had in mind. It surpassed ground beef in quality.
My aunt makes a delicious Mexican dish called Pozole Verde. This tamale and the pozole were among the best I've had from a restaurant, although they didn't quite match up to my grandma's homemade versions.
The taquitos and flautas stood out to me.
Locals claim there's nowhere to find Carne Guisada.
The rest of the menu didn't leave a lasting impression.
Mexican cuisine isn't exactly Rancho Cucamonga's claim to fame.
● Beef Taco: (7.5) ● Tamale: (7) ● Pozole Verde: (8) - could use more spice ● Tortillas: (1) - tasted store-bought ● Table Salsa: (7) - lacked Chile flavor ● Green Salsa: (7) ● Taquitos (8) ● Flautas: (8) ● Nachos: (7.5) ● Quesadillas: (7) ● Wings: (7) ● Churro: (8) - Enjoyed the crispy texture ● Drinks: We only drank water for drinks.

My friend and I started with their Café de la Olla, and OMG… it was absolutely amazing rich, aromatic, and hands down the best I’ve ever had! I loved it so much I ended up having two cups.
For food, we shared the Sopes Trio (chicken, beef, and pork) and the Fajitas Trio (shrimp, beef, and chicken), which came with beans, rice, guacamole, and salad everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked.
We also ordered fresh guacamole, and Ramiro made it right in front of us he was amazing! So friendly and full of positive energy, he made the experience even better.
Estephanie took care of us throughout our meal, always making sure we had everything we needed. Super sweet, attentive, and always smiling outstanding service all around!
The restaurant is beautiful with great Latin music, three TVs (I even caught a soccer game while eating ⚽️), and spotless bathrooms, which I always appreciate.
Highly recommend this place! Whether you’re coming after a hike or just craving authentic, delicious Mexican food, El Mescalito...
