Located in Haven City Market, this restaurant is the definitely the place to be. Haven City Market is a venue filled with vendors serving global bites, boba, coffee, desserts, and more. While you’re here, you MUST check out Jojo’s Kitchen! They serve all your favorite Taiwanese comfort foods such as beef noodle soup, mapo tofu, and Taiwanese sausage. They have both big and small eats so whether you’re looking for a full meal or just a snack, Jojo’s has you covered.

FOOD:

What I Ordered: Popcorn Chicken (Large), Braised Pork Belly over Rice, Lychee Green Tea

Popcorn Chicken: First things first, these portions are insanely. The large popcorn chicken was packed to the brim with delicious, golden chicken. Definitely more than enough to share with an entire family. The popcorn chicken was perfectly crispy, well seasoned, and juicy. It wasn’t too flavorful or greasy. It also came with sweet chili sauce that was the perfect complement! Braised Pork Belly Rice: For the braised pork belly dish, I could choose a base of either rice, noodles, or noodle soup. I chose to go with rice because braised pork belly rice is one of my all time favorite foods. The braised pork belly rice was absolute perfection and everything you’d want from this dish. The pork belly pieces were fatty and meaty creating an amazing flavor explosion with every bite. The dish also comes mustard greens which provides a vinegary contrast to help cut down and balanced on the fat. My absolute favorite part about the dish is the soy sauce eggs! 😍 I can eat soy sauce eggs all day! They provide such a creamy, richness to the dish. This is a PERFECT dish in my opinion. Lychee Green Tea: To wash down everything, I got some lychee green tea. I personally love fruit teas because they are super refreshing and not too sweet. They also have other flavors such as passion fruit, mango, and yogurt. You can also choose between green and black tea as a base. This drink was so nice to have on a hot summer day like this.

LOCATION: I love that this stall is located in a food hall because it really adds to the ambiance. The whole market feels super lively and fun. There is plenty of indoor seating but also a beautiful outdoor seating area that is definitely worth checking out. There is also decent amount of parking available in the parking lot as well.

SERVICE: The servers were super sweet and friendly. I asked them for recommendations and they told me the most popular dishes and helped me decide what to order. Getting your food is also super efficient since after you order they hand you a buzzer that will shake when your food is ready so you have time to just walk around, find a table, and relax while your food is being prepared.

Taiwanese food in Rancho Cucamonga might sound dubious but I promise the folks at Jojo's Kitchen do it justice! Being Taiwanese, I grew up eating a lot of the staples like popcorn chicken, pork chop rice, Taiwanese sausage, and Dan Dan noodles. Jojo's not only kills it in the taste arena, but they've made it accessible to a wider audience here at the New Haven Market!

We ordered a spread of items: ENTREES Dan Dan noodles: delicious. The noodles were springy with a nice chew, and mixing the meat sauce and mustard greens (a sign of true Taiwanese food!) coated nicely so every bite was satisfying. We heated up leftovers for dinner and dare I say it tasted even BETTER after that??

Mapo Tofu: I almost never order mapo tofu for some reason but after today I might just change my ways. The tofu was silky, but had just enough firmness to feel substantial. And the sauce had this savory numbing spice that was so addicting. Could have done with less rice in the bowl and more tofu cuz I'm not a big rice eater

APPETIZER (SMALL EATS) Popcorn fish: ordered this bc it's different than the usual popcorn chicken! The fish is really tender and the batter is light and fluffy. Only complaint is that the way they packaged it in a takeout box meant the steam quickly negated the crisp and the batter quickly turned soggy and chewy My friend thought the batter was too thick overall and would have preferred popcorn chicken.

Salt + Pepper Shrimp: loved this! Shrimp was crisp to the bite followed by a well seasoned batter that stayed crispy longer than the popcorn fish.

Marinated Pork Chop: I enjoyed this but again the takeout boxes might have compromised the crisp. I think I'd enjoy this over rice as an entree, though I do wish there was a bit more seasoning?

DRINKS Jojos soda: tastes like calpico! Aiyu Jelly Drink: essentially this is lemonade with aiyu jelly. Really refreshing but becomes too sweet for me to finish

Knocked one star bc I was disappointed at the portion of the small eats. Their front counter shows that Small should fit into a drink sized container, but our apps each only filled up half of a container. For the price of up to $9 for a small size, I'd expect a bit more. Weird cuz from the pictures others had a full cup so I wonder why ours were so small?

Service was great, and the market has plenty of outdoor seating, well maintained with covid barriers between tables. I'd be...

I 1st discovered Jojo Kitchen Taiwan Eats when i 1st visited Haven City Marketplace 3 years ago...

I stumbled upon the best popcorn chicken. Usually a lot of Taiwanese places don't put basil Leaves in their popcorn chicken. I love that hint of basil in my popcorn. Brings me back to the original way of getting these delicious bites. Love that they offer different varieties of Taiwanese comfort food. From noodles to dumplings to rice dishes and tea. Really authentic Taiwanese flavoring food. You name it all. They have it all. I love Asian food. I mean I am Asian lol

Returned to Haven City Marketplace 2.20.25 My oldest son had a Tennis Match w a local school in Eastvale. I was gonna be posted here for a good 4 hours and haven't ate lunch yet: So decided to go on a foodie adventure myself and get my popcorn fix. I'm hardly in the area around Ontario/Rancho Cucamonga area.

Since i was by myself, i had a lot of time to enjoy, was also really hungry and everything looked all so good. I ordered a lot and figure my son will be really hungry after his match. I'll have dinner ready for him to enjoy and easily can eat in the car.

What I ordered

Popcorn Chicken, Braised Pork Belly Noodle, Salt and Pepper Shrimp Rice, Jojo Bao Shrimp/Jojo Bao Chicken & passion milk tea

Got the items in a timely manner. Associate was really nice and informative with my questions on the Bao and noodles.

Located next to Mikes & Henry's BBQ.

Looks like they are opening up a 2nd location in the REDLANDS Public...
