I have been coming to Juanita's since I was a freshman in high school which is about 21 years ago I went to the original one off San Bernardino and Indian Hill. This one specifically has great food. But and I mean but they are absolutely very very rude they are never nice they always treat you like you're bothering them they never smile they always act like they're in a bad mood. I only come here because the food is good. But for whatever reason they are never nice here they're very mean just the other day they asked me and my niece to leave because they closed at 7:00 and it was 7:15. I got there at 6:45 and didn't get my food until about 6:55 while I was eating it he came up to me and asked me to leave He said they are closed. Before I ordered I asked him if it was going to be okay to eat there. This is not the first time I walked out of there feeling like they were mean this happens religiously. I never leave bad reviews especially at the food is amazing which it is. but as for customer service and friendliness they are a negative 10. it breaks my heart because I tell people to come here since they are the best food in town. It's not like they're mean like the soup Nazi in Seinfeld. They're just cold and act like they don't want to be there. I wish their customer service friendliness and overall kindness were to match their food because this place could be truly amazing. I honestly hate patronizing this place because their food is so good. But they are mean mean mean never have I once ever seen someone smile behind the counter I understand they're all family but for whatever reason they are mean as hell.... I watched them interact with other customers and I saw them treat a senior citizen couple as if they were second-class citizens. This is truly a catch-22 because I hate coming here because they're mean. But I love getting the food from here. These people are honest to God the meanest group of people I've ever met. I hate to say it because I always come back but they need an attitude adjustment they are truly truly jerks..... Trust me when I tell you you will love their food, but I guarantee you you will feel the same way they act this way towards every single customer I don't know how they are still in business, I guess it's because the food is great so it doesn't matter how you treat...
Read moreThree and a half stars would have been probably been four if I didn't know what it was supposed to be like. Juanita's on 4th is almost always 5 stars... We always try to stop by when we visit home. They were closed so we visited the Rancho location. The flavors are the same but the ratios were off. My just shy of $8 MRC burrito was mostly rice with a small amount of meat. My husbands MBRC burrito was very heavy with beans. The Facebook page for the Ontario location posted about higher prices due to meat/beef prices being up, so that was expected but the small spoonful of meat was a surprise. I'm honestly not sure if this is a location problem or because of meat prices, but if it's the latter you need to lower the prices on what was essentially a giant rice (or bean) burrito. Also, part of the love of Juanita's is that is not like eating just any fast food, it's homemade, it's mama made, but yesterday's burrito was put together like a taco bell burrito... If mama made that I would have thought she was mad at me. One end was all cheese then mostly rice for the middle and the "end", the last two inches, was a decent mix of ingredients. Taste is amazing as always. Been going to Juanita's (ONT) for close to 40 years and will continue, Rancho is a good back up but even though it's closer to where we stay when we visit, it will get passed by on our way...
Read moreCustomer service pretty bad lately. Went there last week. Waited at the drive through menu for someone to take my order for a very long time. I was the only person there and the wait time was almost 10 minutes before I was helped. Drove up to the window to pay for my food. Guy inside wearing a dirty wrinkled shirt took my money then dropped my hot sauce on the floor. He then picked the hot sauce off the floor and put in my bag. I asked him if he dropped my hot sauce, he said "oh yeah", no apology, but then replaced the hot sauce. He then took what food was in the bag, and disappeared behind the drive up window, came back in a few minutes and gave me my food without saying anything. Needless to say, I threw the food in the garbage and went next door to taco bell.
BTW, I have been going to Juanita's for over 38 years. I use to go to one on Indian Hill in Pomona, then the one on 4th Street and now in Rancho Cucamonga. Their tacos and hot sauce are what keeps me coming back. Having said this, for the price they charge for food (its expensive), their customer service will need to improve...
