Mi cafecito — Restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga

We usually love this place. However, tonight 10/22, we got here at 6:40ish. We were served our drinks and chips pretty quick. Then told by our server she’d be right back to take our order. Time went by (30 mins), other customers came in, their orders were taken. We tried multiple times to get the attention of the two servers with no success. They seemed to busy stopping and talking with certain tables than to be bothered with us. When we finally got the attention of one, I told her we’d like to order and that several people that got here after us had already ordered, no apology, and even an attitude was given. It then took over 20 mins to get our food. The food was no where near what it typically is. At the end, it took forever to even get our check. We were told they didn’t charge us for one of our drinks due to the wait. At the end of the night it took over an hour and a half just to have a few street tacos and drinks. Just leaving at 8:05pm. It’s a local restaurant in my neighborhood that resembles a bar &grille. The atmosphere is good, but the location not so much. From the outside it looks more like a arris location in a strip mall. But for the most part it’s safe. I would just recommend to not wear a bandana unless you pay attention to the color you wear. That’s kind of a joke but not. I’ve never had trouble. I live in the area. But that’s the vibe you get thanks to the homeless in the area and the lack of upkeep on the area buildings and landscapes.but the food is great.not necessarily gourmet great.but the best quality food in my neighborhood neck and neck with the new PEPE’S Mexican /American food in the area.i hate calling out my neighborhood it feels safe to me, but I live here since 1977. Rancho Cucamonga has let this area go for whatever the reason. But it’s still expensive to live here. So I say good food bad looking location, but fairly safe I don’t dine in. I've been coming her for over 10 years and always had nothing but positive things to say about this place until our last night's last experience. I ordered the carne asada fries to start, when it was served to my table, I was very disappointed; the fries themselves were under cooked, there was only maybe 8-10 small pieces of carne asaada, they used white cheese that didn't cover the large portion of fries. I literally tried 2 fries and a little carne asada. I signaled for the waitress and told her that I would like to send it back, she gave me a " sour look" and then another male waiter came out and told me that I ate half the plate, etc.. I know that restaurants are having a hard time with this economy and as a consumer I don't eat out as often and when I choose to do so, I have no problem paying for good food, I will no longer support restaurants like this , who start skimping on the food and charge you more money. I WILL NEVER COME HERE...
