It’s great to have a halal food option in the inland empire! We were quite excited to try this place and the food did not disappoint. The hotdog was average at best, however the Michelin burger was amazing! Definitely one of the top 5 burgers we’ve had. Fries were also very good! The food came out really quickly which was a plus.
The only thing I must mention that I found a bit strange is that the owner straight up refused to cut our 5 year old daughter’s burger in half for us. I have no idea as to the logic of this - did they not have a knife available or did they feel it messed with the integrity of their product? They took the burger back to the kitchen to cut it for us and the owner came back out with it saying ‘we don’t cut the burgers’ or something like that. No explanation given or being unable to fulfill a simple request for a child. Either way, I asked if they had a plastic knife so that I can cut it for her myself. He said no, that he only had a plastic fork and then brought me a plastic spoon instead lol. So I had to cut my daughter’s burger in half with a plastic spoon. It got really messy. But she enjoyed it nonetheless after a few tears. I guess I’ll start carrying my own knife from now on since this place refuses to cut their burgers in half for small children for whatever reason haha.
But despite that small incident I have to give credit where it’s due- solid 7.5/10 burger option for the area. I only wish they had mustard or pickle relish or some type of spicy jam to add a little kick or tang to the burgers. The buns were also not the best quality and fell apart easily even just with the single patty- brioche would hold up much better. But overall we were still very impressed and will return as we often frequent the area and it is affordable and a great value meal compared to other halal...
Read moreMy husband I used to eat at the Korean restaurant that was previously here. We were happy to discover that a new business would be moving in. Nice Guys Burgers recently opened up. They were previously in Bloomington. I've seen the photos online and the burgers looked fabulous. Their hours are 11am to 2am, yes am... the next day. That's wild to me lol but good for folks that work late or have late night munchies.
Anyways, we decided to check it out yesterday. We arrived a few minutes after 11am and recognized the owner in the parking lot and he was bringing things inside. We were the first customers of the day. There's no outdoor seating but there's seating inside. There's also curbside pickup. We both ordered the Michelin cheeseburger and my husband got the double. We could have made it a combo. We both got a side of fries, but no drink because I wanted tea from R&B Tea which was a few doors down. Our total for our burgers and fries came out to $27.
The owner told us to go ahead to get our drinks because it'd take him about 10-12 minutes to prepare our food. Once we ordered and got our drinks from R&B and came back, my husband's cheeseburger was ready and he was still working on my burger and our fries. Another man was also in there waiting for his order. I can tell you now that everything is made to order and to be patient as it's not fast. We chatted with the owners who told us a little about his background and he really is a super nice guy. The food was worth the wait and it came out super hot, especially the fries. The patty had a nice crisp on the edges and still pretty juicy. Hoping he succeeds in his new location. We would...
Read moreMy son found this place last week and proclaimed it his new favorite burger. High praise as he has high standards. He described the burger meat as "supple" and he's not wrong!
In my opinion, the Michelin cheeseburger is better than In-N-Out. It takes a little longer because they're a small operation, but worth the wait.
Because their menu is small, I decided to try everything!
Michelin Burger - melt in your mouth and not greasy. Tastes like homemade
Chicken Over Rice - maybe my favorite thing. The char on the chicken is what sends it over the top. And I love a good drizzle of mayo on anything so it really finished it nicely.
Hot Dog - again, the word "supple" or "silky" comes to mind. Really good. And again with a drizzle of mayo. Lovely.
Chicken Sandwich - very good but I'll keep coming back for the other items.
Atmosphere - it's a hole in the wall that's just starting out. It's clean and good and that's all I care about.
Service - this is where they really shine. Friendly guys behind the counter. Offered to bring the food out to my car. Couldn't have been more hospitable. They started as a food counter in a liquor store and now have their own place. Let's show them tons of love and welcome more good food to...
