Tam's Burgers — Restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga

My husband and I have been to the Tam's in Rancho Cucamonga various times. Starting at the beginning of 2022, we'd always get their crispy chicken salad. Although very good the first time, the chicken was on the dry side, but still edible enough for us to order it again. We've ordered this salad a few more times, but a few months ago, the chicken that came in the salad was inedible. It was like they cooked it over and over again and became so incredibly hard (the texture was like a very old Chicharrón). It was a sad day, but I had to throw out most of my meal. I'm disappointed that they could even look at it and thought it was okay to serve to customers.

Another time, my husband placed his order ahead of time and came to pick it up. He asked for a side order for French Fries, but when he arrived they gave him a large Chili Cheese Fries...

The most recent time we dined here was this past Friday 11/11. My husband ordered our dinner from the Drive-Thru. We both wanted to try the "Burger Box" which is a 1/4 lb Burger, 2 chicken tenders, and fries. It's a good deal considering our total was less than $20. Overall, the burger was decent, they gave us plenty of fries... but again... it's the chicken that's never good! (why, why.....). Although the chicken tenders were an impressive size and looked like they had juice inside, they were still incredible dry and the texture was rough that it was hard for me to eat that I had to throw most of it away. I even tried dunking a small piece entirely in the Ranch, but no... it didn't help that much. I'm not sure what their practice is for cooking their chicken, but whatever it is, the outcome is never good.

I've concluded that if we ever return here, we'll never order any of their...

Ordered a fried egg sandwich with just egg and cheese. Repeated this twice to the cashier even after she asked if I wanted a specific type of toast. I then asked for a hot chocolate which the cashier responded with “oh, uhmmm. -turned away from me and asked another employee a question- oh we don’t have hot chocolate but I can go buy some.” I said no it’s okay, just an orange juice and water cups would be fine. Got the order a few minutes late and the sandwich was fried scrambled eggs, with mayo lettuce and tomato on soggy sourdough bread. No organs juice was brought out-cashier didn’t put it on the order. I asked the cashier, “didn’t I order a fried egg with cheese and that’s it?” Her response was “oh you didn’t want veggies?” They brought back the same sandwich with the veggies pulled out. Still no cheese and smothered in mayo. Needless to say, this food made me sick to my stomach and I ended up just throwing away the sandwich and leaving.

I’ve been a costumer for years with tams literally since I was a kid, I love this place but tonight changed it all. I usually spend more than 1,500+ yearly with tams my family and I go there a lot. For my my concern and complaint is that, I usually get the tams box and fried zucchini and I also ask for 5 green salsas as well. I never had an issue getting the salsa ever but today changed that. I asked for 5 green salsas, as soon as I asked the kind worker told me we can no longer give you any green salsa I asked why. She told me that they only pass out the salsa for the tocos. I was a bit offended because I’ve been doing this for years. I could also tell she was a new worker but.. I got really upset about it. Who doesn’t eat salsa with food plus your paying for it they should pass it out. 😤 for my second complaint is that you guys serve little bits of food now you guys changed so much. I will no longer be going to tams for these reasons as much as it breaks my heart I will never go back...
