The Deli — Restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga

The service sucks! First time there for what we heard was a great French dip. They took our order at the walk up widow. Two others ordered behind me. I saw an order at the window walked up and the girl said sorry this is not yours. I sat back down a little while later I see another order up at the window. Walked up and she said French dip. I said two? She said no it's a his order. The 2nd person that ordered after me. 40 minutes later I walked up and said are you killing the cow or what? The girl says I don't have any order for you! I said I ordered over 40 minutes ago! She continued to tell me I don't have that order. I got pissed and said I paid $27.00 for my order. She said do you have a receipt? I said yes! She looks at it and says I don't have this order! I said just give me my money back! I don't want the FN food! The girl who took my order finally walks by and she confirms I have been waiting a while. The girl again tells me she does not have my order and can make me the food in two minutes. Now that really pissed me off cause know I know I've been wasting 45 minutes now. 5 minutes arguing about the order they lost in an area the size of a freaking closet. I did take the food, but will never recommend this...

What happened to the service here? This used to be my go-to spot. Two times I called to place an order, I was put on hold immediately. After waiting for 15 mins on the phone, i figured they had forgotten me and hung up. Today I tried again. I called and was put on hold immediately. After waiting, I was finally able to place an order. When I arrived to pick up my order at the window, I was ignored for 10 mins. Other customers walked up to pick up their orders but the employees ignored me. Finally after 15 mins of waiting at the window, one of the employees said she would help me after she finished what she was doing. I sat down and waited for another 15 mins. After the other customers had picked up their orders and left, I asked if my order was ready. I found out that my order had been sitting there. My time had been wasted. I was furious. The employees don’t seem to care about customer service. They seem apathetic and checked out. This place is a local gem, I hope it stays that way.

First time here, was craving a sandwich and found this place. As soon as we walked in I noticed the place is super old and outdated. Most tables were occupied and the ones that were not were dirty. We got a table and it looked kinda clean but it felt sticky, idk if it’s because it’s wood and it’s old or because they don’t clean them often. Anyways I got a club sandwich in a French roll and my husband got the Monterey spicy steak, imo they’re super expensive I understand everything went up but $42 for 2 sandwiches, 2 drinks and fries! They sandwich was good but not the best sandwich that I’ve ever had, will I return? Maybe but only to go, the place needs a deep cleaning and new tables and chairs. Plus the lady making the sandwiches was wearing a no sleeve top with her armpits exposed, I’m not expert but used to work at a restaurant and we could never not even servers wear a no sleeve shirt, it’s just not professional and...
