Inside of a fast food burger joint with a menu and decorations of a sit down restaurant (like chili's). Kind of confusing. Their hamburger patties are 1/4 pound so I had a double, no cheese, tomatos or pickles but extra lettuce. I was able to get a mix of half fries and half onion rings. I can't say what their specialty is because they had so much to choose from: breakfast items like ham & eggs, omelets and more. Hamburgers and sandwiches. Steak, shrimp and chicken. The place was clean, they got my order right and it looked good. The fries were an outstanding consistency. Crunchy and some soft in the inside. I love fries like this, but I really didn't like the taste of the fries. The onion rings were great, so hard to find good onion rings! Only problem was that they were a little greasy so I don't think I would be able to eat a whole serving. The hamburger was fine. Meat tasted like meat, onions were not over powering, lettuce gave a nice crunch. Thousand Islands dressing was good. The poor part was the buns. They reminded me of store bought. The bottom bun was mushy on my fingers and the buns stuck to my teeth as I ate it. Would I come here again? Maybe, if I have friends that wanted to go. Should you come here? Yes, why not? I’ve been a customer here for years. The food is good, what you’d expect from a dinner style burger place. I really like the albondigas soup on cold rainy or gloomy days. The signature salad is really good and flavorful, if the chicken doesn’t get too well done. The onion rings have a yummy light batter. The zucchini fries are my fave. The service is always pleasant, everyone is always kind and helpful. If you’re in a rush I suggest calling ahead, making a phone order if you can, but the wait is usually pretty short, unless you get there right in the middle of the lunch rush. Usually between 11:30-1, but I’ve never waited more than 20. My only problem is that the prices have gone up. So much so that I used to come by at least 2 times a week, now not that often. My wife and I have been going to the Hitch for about 4 years at least. We would visit the place at least 2 times a week, cause the food and great customer service. Up until last year the service has gone down. We have ordered food multiple times and received the wrong order. A couple of weeks ago, we ordered some hard shell tacos and we received the wrong order. I even told the person what I wanted and he repeated the order back to me and they were still able to give me the wrong order. I called the when I arrived and asked to speak to the manager, the person that took my ordered answered the phone and just told that they only sell 2 tacos at a time and that’s what he charged.
