I was told that I should try out this sushi restaurant. So I did just that, I visited Sushi Akito restaurant in Rancho Palos Verdes, Ca in late August of 2024. The location is kind of hidden in a food plaza. There was plenty of parking when I went on a saturday at 5 pm. The place was quite small. The staff was very friendly. I met the owner who was behind the sushi bar counter preparing all the sushi. He was very polite and easy to talk to. His name is Kit. On this day I asked him to prepare me a chef special dish which is to provide you his 10 picks of sushi which was a variety of fish. I was pleasantly pleased with how fresh the fish was and also how much flavor everything had. To top it off I also had a few shooters, Uni and oyster. They were amazing. if you are looking for a place that has an amazing atmosphere, this is not the place. If you are looking for quality, which I am sure you want, then this is the place to tryout. I did have to wait a little while to get my food, but when you get the food it will be all worth it. Overall I would strongly recommend dining in at Sushi Akito .
I did read a review regarding this location and they did not have good things to say about it, but once I saw this customer called in a order to go. I could not take the review seriously. My response to these type of customers would be, this is not a fast food restaurant. "If you want fresh sushi you must eat the food when the fish is being served to you right from...
Read moreGreat neighborhood sushi spot located on Western in a small strip next the the Carl's Jr. The fish was very fresh and delicious, service was excellent and the casual atmosphere is perfect to relax and enjoy the outstanding sushi. The hand rolls are a great way to try a lot of flavors while the toro was amazingly rich and tasty. Nice selection of rolls but not an overwhelming menu.. The WTF and crazy salmon rolls were both really good and had distinct flavors and sauces. The yellowtail carpaccio had a nice spice and flavor and was a particular favorite. The dining room is pretty small and they do get busy at peak times and it is easy to see why with such quality sushi at very reasonable prices. Sushi Akito scores a rock solid 5...
Read moreIG/TT @eatwkris The best sushi in South Bay!! I recommend starting with their bonito edamame. It’s coated so well and every bite is so flavorful. The Spanish mackerel is also so good and flown in from Spain. I’m picky when it comes to uni and it’s so fresh and not super fishy.
All rolls are $16-$18 and around 8 pieces. They even have real crab rolls. my favorite is the crazy salmon with fresh salmon inside, and seared salmon with a house spicy...
