In-N-Out Burger — Restaurant in Rancho Santa Margarita

I don't think I have ever written a review for an in n out. I know I have never looked at a review of any in n out. I certainly have never found myself thinking I should check out their reviews. Nor have I ever heard of anyone I know talking about any sort of review or star rating of any kind for any in n out. Which is to say I have never known a time in my life, ever, that I have overheard, conversed about, or seen anything negative regarding an in n out Not ever. Never ever. Never ever ever never.

In the total years I have been alive, in every situation, relationship, atmosphere, or amongst any of my family, extended family, in laws, friends, business associates, professors, teachers, employees, you name it, I have not once heard of anyone having a bad experience of any kind.

Not a messed up drive thru order. Not poorly cooked food. Not a grumpy, upset, I said no pickles type of comments. Nothing nada never.

I mean holly s@#t! You literally have a company where people are excited to find themselves sitting in a wrap around the block and back again drive thru line. How is that even possible? No one's trying to cut the other off. No one's BLAIRING the horn cuz the dude in front of them didn't move up right away.

Im sure if I start to look I'll be shocked but I'm pretty sure if anyone has ever given a less than great review, has to be on the reviewer, cuz they're either from the competition or just plain impossible themselves.

Whether or not this sentiment rings true with anyone out there really isn't the point that I'm in awe about. It simply caught me off guard when I looked down at my phone, reading google's little message reminders and instigators I get.

I had a few messages from maps one telling me to update my original review if I would like to, for a Michaels I had just been back to. The next was congratulating me on still being, in the top 10% of restaurants and fast food reviewers/guides, the third, asking me how in n out was.

What a long and difficult review this has turned out to be, which I'm truly sorry about. But in all honesty, I hope most won't find it difficult to ignore what they see as such blatant rhetoric.

I was taken back, to think i had never, nor associated with anyone who ever, thought to, or actually did leave a negative review nor ever had a negative thing to say.

Now I will say, for those that have dismissed the statements in my review, as nothing more than attempted ubiquitous temporal rhetoric, I would caution you to hold that judgement and read this David Foster Wallace quote,

"There are these two young fish swimming along and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way, who nods at them and says “Morning, boys. How’s the water?” And the two young fish swim on for a bit, and then eventually one of them looks over at the other and goes “What the hell is water?"

What an amazing business model and culture and value system, and respect going on within in n out. And true to form these guys tonight we're nothing less than in n outs finest.

I love that we get to live in a country, specifically a state, even more specifically a city that has multiple in n outs surrounding us. What a great life we are afforded in America. One that allows us the free time and freedom to leave reviews of the businesses we have visited, and the luxury of secret menus, burgers on demand, shakes, fries, 4x4's, all done up animal to protein style, mustard fried, toasted or extra toasted buns, with onions cut up tiny grilled or left raw and in rings...we are very lucky what we have...thank...

Another local favorite for RSM. Just kidding, but I think they had a town hall meeting and asked if In-N-Out would come into town. Drive-in for dinner a line of cars 30 long is not unheard of. I just order in and to go, get a drink and sit in the AC, saving gas. Some other stores have two drive-thru's this one just has a single. But the same awesome friendly service. Also they expedite the line with a person outside to get orders in even faster. Plenty of seating inside and outside. TIP: There are extra tables outside if you face the entrance and follow the wall around to the right. These tables in the "side" area are quieter, but maybe a bit close to the cars in drive-thru?? Restrooms M/F to the immediate right just after main entrance. They had a baby changing station for Dad's, nice touch. They close a little later at 1am and 1:30am...

Nothing like a late night run for a cheeseburger & not feel so guilty because all the condiments used are so fresh & it tastes way to good to not give in. 😉😋 There was long wait at drive thru. As Always w/o fail my food was delicious all nice N hot. 1st bite hhmm its fresh hot the onions oh so good secret sauce. You know honestly I never can compare the service, cleanliness, & most importantly the food to any other fast food chain. U can also order grilled cheese , that's an item off the menu, or animal style fries... They have a special blended sauce its their touch on 1000 island. In N Out is Hands Down one of the best places to grab American style food at it's Best. Hope u try animal style fries w animal style burger in protien wrap. Google what u can order Off the Menu. You will open your tastebuds up to a new world of...
