My family and I visited this store more then once, frequently spending over $150 at a time. This weekend the owner decided to have a grab bag sale. He personally told us (also stated in the signs posted everywhere) stuff AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE in your bag for $15. (mind you the only items your allowed to put in there were clearance items that were $1 each. So we did as instructed, as did the other customers, but once my father got to the counter the owner TOM embarrassed our whole family. He claimed the bag had a bulge in it and that was taking advantage of him. Nothing was sticking out of the bag, nothing was falling out, it was reasonably filled. He started yelling at my mother and father, while i am holding my 1 year old nephew- who was terrified, and my sister who is 8 month pregnant. My sister is keeping calm but getting so upset hearing this man treat my father like a low life theif, that she almost throws up on the counter (and his own employees are apologizing to her saying he always gets like this and will not stop) All the other customers started gathering around with their children to watch the owner yell at our family. Once my father walked outside- im still trying to pay and the owner keeps going- talking to his employees about our family, throwing hangers, visibly irate, and yelling at the clerks to make a new policy because of this. That was the absolute worst display of unprofessional-ism i have ever been subjected to, or witnessed. He treated us as if we were trying to steal the food from his mouth. We have spent alot of money in his store, to be treated like second citizens. Maybe if he approached the situation with a morsel of class none of this would have taken place. We even offered to just pay extra since he seems we are doing him a personal injustice. But he was too hot headed and arrogant to hear anything but his own pompous voice. we will NEVER EVER patronize this business. I refuse to give my money to a man that thinks hes better then all of his low life customers. To make such a display AS THE OWNER in front of children and pregnant woman is such a disgrace and plainly pathetic. Get your attitude and temper under control TOM. YOU will be the demise of your business if you continue to spit in your customers face. If it weren't for your customers, guess what, your luxurious trips to Texas, and frivolous spending wouldn't be possible. Nothing worse than a sanctimonious arrogant owner that doesnt...
Read moreYesterday, I visited this location for the first time and was informed that the wait time was four hours. I had the option of waiting in my car, inside the store, or returning tomorrow to collect my belongings. Today, I returned to retrieve my items and inquire about any purchases made from the bags I had dropped off. I was approached by a woman named Anna, who informed me that the store had purchased $37 worth of items from the bags but had converted it into store credit due to my failure to return yesterday to claim it. She also disclosed that the store credit would expire within a year. I expressed my surprise at this policy and informed her that I was unaware of it. If I had been informed of this policy beforehand, I would have remained with the items and returned another day with the necessary time to wait. However, Anna refused to make any exceptions or demonstrate any understanding. She continued to assert that her staff had informed every customer of this policy, despite my repeated explanations that I had not been informed. Anna even referred to me as a âlairâ after I had mentioned that I would have never left the items because I do not frequent the store and only make drop-offs occasionally. After a lengthy exchange, Anna proceeded to contact the store manager, repeating the same false claim that I had been notified of the policy by her staff. When I spoke to the owner, she provided me with the money but informed me that she did not have the remaining items that were not purchased because they had been donated yesterday evening. This is highly concerning, as it is essential to clarify such matters to customers when they make drop-offs. Not only did Anna refuse to refund me the money, but she also failed to provide me with the remaining items. There is no way to ascertain whether the items were donated or if they were simply taken and sold in the store.
In my opinion, this was one of the most deceptive and shady transactions I have ever experienced. Annaâs repeated insults and actions, including implying of me being a âlairâ to my face and even while speaking to the store owner, were unacceptable. I am compelled to write a review to warn others about this establishment and prevent them from falling victim to similar...
Read moreUpdating my previous 1 star review. I called the next day, and they deviated from policy and since my items or they thought most of them had not been put on the floor, they would return then, and I'd return their cash. I doubt they will do this again though. It was a bit hectic as some items had been put out, my shoes, and some clothes, and not all my items were in the bag they gave me (mostly summer ones). Jen, I believe her name was, was so kind in helping find what we could, they couldn't find a pair of pants that went with a set they took a few pairs if shoes and I know 1 top, but of the 105 items we found about 97 1/2. Which was very good. It was a very professional and respectable thing for the store manager Tom to do. They gave credit to use for the items we couldn't find.
After seeing what my shoes were priced at, if you need size 0-3 shoes that's where to go, sorry I took all my cute ones back. I do have to add their books are priced great, better than thrift books.
They were very nice, but they take very little of what you bring in. They say they don't take jeans but have them on the racks, the only want leggings. There is no rhyme or reason to what they take. My clothes were in better condition and more up to date and stylish than what they had on their backs but we left with most everything we brought in. I had women customers in line asking about my items, so it's not like they wouldn't have sold. They also pay VERY low prices for what they take. I brought in very expensive dresses ($40+) that you could tell were worn once or never, still had tags, new striderite's, jackets et. They took 106 items and paid me $105. never have I felt so ripped off. If we hadn't spent about 2 hours there while they looked through everything (and sent most everything home with me, designer clothes and all) I'd have asked to see what they took. But I just wanted out of there. And the prices for some of their clothing is no better than I can find on sales in stores.
If you want to sell your baby clothes, I'd recommend a local FB baby/kids BST and sell them in size lots. You won't feel so ripped off and have your time wasted and no reason fir why they don't take perfect...
