I usually order takeout from them because they’re right across from me. I usually only get the same thing or a salad. Me and my boyfriend decided to sit in before we went to work. He claims he could feel like like he was not wanted as soon as he walked in, but I thought he was just being paranoid. I’ve been inside before no problems. We sat inside and the owner is our waiter. He seemed super nice, but it’s kind of rushing us. No problem at a big deal. We ordered wings as the appetizer and then my boyfriend ordered a chicken Parmesan and I ordered a two club sandwich our rings were OK when I got my food, though it was burnt when my boyfriend got his food. It looked burnt to me, but in the moment he said it was OK but when I tasted his food, he said it was burnt. I automatically sent my food back because I’m not eating anything, bro I didn’t pay to eat burnt bacon. The wife then proceeds to come over and tells me it’s sheet bacon and all their bacon is gonna come out burnt I thought when you go to a restaurant, your food is supposed to be prepared as you go now already sitting and then have to be re-warmed that’s how your food gets burnt. That’s why the bacon is burnt because it’s overcooked. It’s been cooked too many times before ready to eat. My boyfriend is not confrontational so he just took his food. The bill came up to 57 and some change and because I didn’t like the service I rounded it up to $60 and we left not even a week go by and they overcharge my card for like $170 and when I go to the restaurant, they have no one working but some idiot that doesn’t know how to run a refunds. Why are you letting your store being ran when if there’s someone in the store that needs a refund? No one knows how to do it literally, I have it on recording of this lady telling me she doesn’t know how to do refunds And there’s not a way that she can get in contact with the owner owner and I have to wait I hate to make this a race thing, but I feel like I was racially profiled the men and I walked in to get my refund mind you I was just there less than 24 hours ago this is not a big restaurant a small town little restaurant when I came in to get a refund lady was asked me who served me like she’s not the one who brought out my food and when I was trying to explain to her what had happened and maybe her member would come back I forgot to mention that the lady offered me a free drink and fries. The next time I come back for my experience so while I was there trying to get my refund I wanted to see if I can get my fries And my drink and I’m trying to talk to this lady. Some other white lady tries to talk to her and cut me off and I’m not letting no one cut me off talking so I’ve talked over the lady and instead of her telling her other customer hold on I’m already in a conversation she turns to me the black lady and tells me with a lot of aggression, shakes her body side to side like she’s about to. I don’t know pop off at me And tells me I need to hold on. There’s a lot going on extremely unprofessional if you’re overstimulated maybe this the bar scene is not the job for you and that I’m trying to tell her that I don’t care if she’s overstimulated and she has no right to dismiss me while she’s in conversation with me to go cater to another customer when she’s already talking to me, she proceeded to tell me that she’s gonna have me kicked out and when I tell her please, let’s call the police because you guys are stealing from me she proceeds to say I’m sorry And she’s just overstimulated. I have all of this on recording. I only wish I took a picture of how burnt my food was and how burnt my boyfriend‘s food was so I could ask you are you gonna pay for this? Dear Black people This is not the space for us. We are not...
Read moreAfter spending a night here and reading the reviews I can only come to one conclusion. You must have to be a regular to like this place. A coworker picked it to have a small get together for a recent retiree. The woman ( I believe is an owner) could not gave been more rude and inhospitable if she tried. We were a small group of approximately 15-20x. She had more orders for us than a Marine Sgt. “Don’t sit there it’s reserved” ( no one showed up for 2 hours to sit there). “If you sit there you have to order food”, etc. Believe me this place is not that busy on a Friday early evening that they shouldn’t have welcomed the business. There was no line at the door and there were always a seat at the bar. We ordered plenty of drinks and a fair amount of food. She had a problem with everything we wanted or asked for. On top of being rudely treated the food wasn’t that great. Worst chicken fingers I ever had. They were cooked with so much pepper they were intolerable. The bar pizza was just ok, no crispy dough or laces. Save yourself the trouble and go down the street a little and go the the Linwood where the pizza is outstanding and you are treated like a friend whether you go every week or haven’t been in 5 years. Unless you’re a regular...
Read moreThe reason we give O'Donnell's FIVE stars is not because it's a five star restaurant. It's a local Irish Pub with a bar on one side and a restaurant on the other. There might be 15 seats around the bar, with a few booths and tables. Most nights, Joe is the bartender. He's been there 25 years and he has an awesome memory. He remembers what everyone drinks, what they like to eat and goes above and beyond when it comes to service. The food is very good. Last night I had a BLT and my husband just had a ham and cheese sandwich because that's what we were in the mood for. I have to say it was one of the BEST BLT's I've ever had. Several times my husband has had the Chicken Marsala which is probably the best we've ever had. I've had the sirloin tips which have a great flavor, aren't fatty but quite tender. They have the most delicious roasted sliced potatoes or steak fries. Last night we split a strawberry shortcake with ice cream. It was absolutely delicious and the shortcake tasted homemade. We live about 20 minutes away and we find it well worth the trip. Friendly place, good food, reasonable prices, open late, and Joe the bartender always makes it a pleasurable visit. Our favorite...
