Oh my goodness what a cute little bakery and such unique flavors, too! The moment I walked in I saw two people in hanging chairs conversing. It made me smile even before I turned the corner to the showcase. I think tiramisu means "pick me up" because the coffee in the desert gives you a little boost. Well, it was incredibly delicious, not too sweet and the perfect portion size! (It was devoured before I could take a picture!) Later I tried a delicious strawberry cupcake: a strawberry from a strawberry preserve was baked inside a moist chocolate cupcake, topped with very smooth, creamy, not too sweet strawberry buttercream, then drizzled with chocolate! Absolutely scrumptious! I also tried a pandan macaron. Pandan is a new flavor to me and common in Asian desserts. I Googled it and pandan is a tropical plant. The pandan macaron was a pretty green color, tasted like a nutty vanilla, that seems to finish with a subtle coconut note. The filling although not marshmallow, felt light and airy complimenting the delicate crispness of the macaron. Although I found it a bit too sweet for my taste, it was wonderfully done. What a pleasant experience. When I first read about this bakery I noticed that it was the owner who served me. She was very kind, incredibly sweet. 😉
However, the employee who took my order could have easily boxed it up. No I don't know if her job was just to ring up orders but that is all she did and continued talking with a customer/friend. There were four or five receipts in order on the counter beside her. What appeared to be the owner is the person who kept boxing up all these orders getting no help from the cashier who was evidently a college student. It was a long wait while I learned all about this student's predicament - trying to find a job in her field of biotech and how she would be graduating soon. Now, maybe she was hired only as a cashier for cleanliness in that she wouldn't be handling money and then boxing food. (Five stars for a very clean bakery!) But, letting me know would have been great instead of having me, and the rest of us just standing there. Or maybe a little sign stating that this is why they do this? I have been to other bakeries who serve and ring, as well as Dunkin Donuts, etc. who keep their clientele flowing so this long and seemingly unnecessary wait was new to me. I had a couple of dogs in the car with the AC running, and would have loved the heads up instead of the long wait standing in a corner. It just seemed inefficient. Other than what seemed like an unnecessary wait, I would definitely recommend Sweet Piglet Bakery!! Someday I'll be back to try some of the other unique flavors, I will just crack open my phone and read a few articles during the wait!! 🙄😂😂 As a side note there seemed to be...

They roll out new flavors and products every now and then (ex. egg foam on tea/coffee, Earl Grey, durian, chestnut flavors). Take a chance! You won't regret it!

My new happy place!
Having heard about their opening at least a year ago, only got to try them since this past January. Since then, been going back more and more frequently, because UBE!
Had quite a few things on the menu from hot sandwiches, gyoza, and onigiri to muffins to desserts and drinks. Great variety to satisfy hunger pangs and sweet tooth alike. Strongly recommending: Vietnamese coffee + ube foam Yin-Yeung (coffee & tea mix) + ube foam / boba ube / lemon-blueberry muffin / mini banana loaf cream puff / eclair (advanced online order only) mochi-like waffle (gluten-free!) crepe cake (ube, tiramisu, matcha, etc.) maracons (big & small sizes; can be gluten-free depending on filling) sandwiches
They also have other things such as bread pudding, creme brulee, cupcakes, cheesecake, etc., with Asian flavors (pandan, matcha, lychee) and western favorites (Tiramisu, nutella) alike. The things in their showcase fridge are just all so pretty to look at!
Meanwhile, service is impeccable! Wei -- whom I have seen most -- is always polite and friendly. He remembers his customers and their preferences. The entire crew shows passion to the craft and are hard-working people, as evident in the products they offer. Perks: generous rewards points system + birthday treat -- I've got credits to use so many times already!
Ambiance: they designed the place with heart, decorating with cute piggy stuff and IG-worthy hanging rattan chairs. Parking lot fits 7-10 cars.
Hours: 8am-6pm (grateful for the late-ish closing time for a bakery), closed Tuesdays. PSA: Kitchen closes (ie. no hot food) half an hour before closing (5:30), so plan...
Read moreI ordered a custom cake for my daughters 9th birthday. I sent them a picture of what I was looking to do, and picked out the strawberry shortcake but with buttercream instead of whipped cream. It was BEAUTIFUL. and so delicious. The cake was firm but not overly dense, the buttercream was also firm, silky & not super sugary. It had a very very light barely perceptable coconut taste which nade me wonder if they use coconut cream or something instead of butter. The buttercream was the exact shade of blue I needed and did not taste like food dye at all. The strawberries inside were super fresh, not wibbly and squishy. The inside of the cake did have the whipped cream which was light & not super sugary. It was really the best cake and I will definitely always order my custom cakes from them. The cost was $64 and it was really worth it. I am including a picture. Please note that the decorations came from me, I did not request them. My son went to get the cake and told me that the inside is very cool & uniquely decorated. He ordered an onigiri, a tea, and I think a treat but I cant remember which. Knowing him it was probably a macaron. He said the onigiri was perfect & everything was delicious. It is now going to be a staple for when he and his friends are looking to eat fairly priced food. 5...
