Fuddruckers — Restaurant in Rapho Township

Adding an update to say that this place continues to be a great value, and provide quality food. Dave the manager is excellent and his whole staff is accommodating and great at their jobs. Always a pleasant experience here!

We have a Red Robin and Five Guys 2 miles from our house in Berks County, but if we want a burger, we don’t mess around with those places. We take the hour drive to this Fuddrucker’s location. The burgers and fries are always so good and I love their warm cheese sauce with my fries! We have never had an issue with how our burgers are cooked inside, but I’m sure if you did, they would happily remake it for you. The only thing I don’t care for is they changed their buns at some point and they aren’t near as good as they used to be. Either way, they are still a step above other burger chains, and you even get endless fries with your burger. The prices are reasonable, as most places you will pay around $15 for a burger. This place is self service for drinks and toppings at the topping bar. This can be beneficial for people trying to save money because you don’t have to add a big tip onto your bill. You do have the option of adding a tip at the counter when you order if you want, but I don’t think it’s expected because they don’t offer full wait service. I personally enjoy the self service because I don’t have to wait for a server to refill my drink. We go out to eat a lot and find that our drinks can sit empty for quite some time, but here we don’t have to...

Hmmm, where to begin. Upon arriving my hubby went in at 7:40 explaining we had a party of 10. There were already 6 of the party there. The other 4, were 1 minute away stuck at the light. He asked them was it to late to order since they closed at 8? Which honestly he/we didn't even have to do that. However, he wanted to know could we dine in or do we need to do a takeout. We were staying at the Hampton Inn right there. The response given back was beyond rude! The manager said, "Well, we close at 8pm. If they aren't here before then they won't get to eat." 😳He reiterated his feelings as we were ordering as it was now 7:45. At 7:58/59 he locked the doors. We were not the only people he voiced his attitude too. Now fast forward, to 8:15 we are almost done some of us still had a few fries and a bite or two of hamburger and my nieces still have 1/2 they're salad. This same manager guy comes over and proceeds to say, "if" you are thru I'll take your plates. Not one of us were "thru." We weren't the only people in there. There were 2 other families in there along with 2 guys. My husband told the young girl behind the counter how rude he was being. Her response was, "well, he's been here since 8 this morning." 😳 Ummm, No Excuse for such...

So I tried to order online and saw that the new store in Mount Joy was not set up for online ordering so I decided to call in my order since I wanted to pick up because my boyfriend was sick and unable to dine in. So I call in and am placed on hold. I wait 6 minutes until I decide to hang up and call again. So I call in and am placed on hold by the same girl yet again. This time I'm on hold for about 5 minutes until I saw I'm just going to head over to the store and place my order directly at the counter to take home. By this time my boyfriend and I are already beyond starving. I decide to leave the phone call going while on hold. I end up making it to the store. In total that call was on hold for 30 minutes. So with both calls I was on hold for 36 minutes. I come in and inform the cashier that I'm still currently waiting for someone to pick up the phone. They apologize and take my order. The manager was informed and I received half off my order. Thus far this is a pretty bad experience since I've never eaten at Fuddruckers before. Hoping the quality of the food was...
