Hay Camp Brewing Company — Restaurant in Rapid City

The beer was delicious! We did a tasting and tried several of the beers. They let us taste whichever beers we wanted before we purchased. They also offered to keep our beer to go order cool for us while we walked around Rapid City. The brewmaster personally came and introduced himself and gave us recommendations as well as recommendations of other breweries we could try in the area. The brewery itself has a beautifully designed and ascetically pleasing tasting room and the bathrooms were very nice and well thought. Additionally and conveniently, there is the delicious Bashful Bison deli attached and they would bring you your food directly to the brewery. Wonderful! Excellent!...

I have lived two blocks from this place for over a year now since I got to rapid. I drive by it every day, seems like a cool place. Been wanting to try this for a while and decided to stop by just for a drink or two. Was kind of excited since I never go out. Neon open sign was on, paper on the window said they were open till 10, online said they closed at 10. Got here at 9 on a Saturday. But the guy told me they were closed already. I get it if I got here like at 950 945 even 930 but I got here like 3 minutes after 9. Stayed in my car till about 935, sign stayed on, doors were still open, and people still in...

Decor is cute. Bartenders are awesome, attentive, thoughtful. Beer is lackluster. I got two flights (6 beers total) and a separate pour to try the BA Marzen. The only beer without serious issues was Breakfast Pub. Drink any of these beers next to the BJCP guidelines and notice how nothing really stands out and yells "take me home! I'm really great!". The BA marzen has bubblegum, pear, and plum notes on the nose which makes the whole experience weird.

Anyway, the dunkel and breakfast porter/stout are fine. The Czech pilsner isn't too bad but there is better...
