The Bashful Bison Deli and Market — Restaurant in Rapid City

My boyfriend and I love this place. The food is great and the bar room is a great place to sit in or play some games. But today we ordered two of ‘the spearfish’ around noon, yes it was a little busy but nothing crazy. (I work in food service I get it) watched a guy who ordered after us get his food fairly quickly, and a table next to us get a sandwich they didn’t order (overheard them say it looks like ‘the spearfish’) we had waited for over 45 minutes and they blamed online orders for the wait saying our ticket is just backed up, when they are clearly just overwhelmed with the “chaos”. We were disappointed. We arrived at 11AM today for our first visit. There were 3 men struggling to remove an old cooler. My husband jumped in to help, moving tables and chairs to clear the way for them. We ordered, and when the "Hot Springs" sandwich arrived, the salami was so old it had discolored. Very unappealing! Our table was dirty and we had to ask that it be cleaned. Someone came in to sweep up the disgusting mess that had been under the cooler. They swept and swept, with rolls and breads just inches away, and didn't bother to cover them. YUCK. I want to personally recommend The Bashful Bison to everyone I know. Today, they hosted a lunch for my department from work- 25 sandwiches in total with various chips and drinks. They went above and beyond for the event. Not only did they have everything ready when we got there, all the sandwiches were correct, served fresh, and were absolutely incredible. They made what could have been a stressful event very easy. I will be recommending them to every department/person I work with as well as all my friends.
