Max's Market & Eatery Flemington — Restaurant in Raritan Township

I was the only one in there and had to wait 15 mins for 2 sandwiches to be made.. Half the food in the display is uncovered and dry. Doesnt the health department require everything to be covered for cross contamination?? A sandwich costs quite a bit and was sloppily made and doesn't even come with a bag of chips or anything for the price. I don't mind spending quite a bit on a GOOD sandwich, I'll drive to Philly to spend 20 on a cheesesteak but I won't be back for these sandwiches. My wife liked hers as far as taste but both sandwiches had all the stuff in the center. After remaking my sandwich so everything was even there was not enough ingredients for the price.

I have been eating at Max’s Market and Eatery the past week and the homemade food keeps bringing me back day after day. Breakfast is worth the trip and lunch is delicious with so many homemade food selections. Soups are homemade and so tasty. Not to mention for those who are busy and don’t have the time to cook dinner you can stop by and browse the homemade items like eggplant parm, eggplant Rolitini , homemade mac and cheese, homemade meatloaf, stuffed meatballs, stuffed mushrooms and so much more! I have eaten at Max’s several times and the food and customer service has always been top notch. Recently I had my daughter’s bridal shower at Max’s. The owner, Taryn, was extremely helpful and accommodating in planning the event. She transformed the dining room to fit our needs and even found a couple of decorative items for us that we were having difficulty locating. Max’s staff were very attentive to our needs during our party and the food was not only awesome but each guest had several entrees to chose from. I am so glad I chose Max’s for my daughter’s shower.
